Is anyone from here attending the Men's Pro Invitational at City Club here in Lafayette? It's usually some college players and teaching pros primarily.

The first week of November. I will post some details here when I get home if you would like. I just realized the BR tournament should be a good one so I am planning on going to the BR tournament as well.

There will be a similiar tournament here in Austin a week from now called the Onion Creek Pro Showdown. It's mostly former pros & college players along with some current ones, and then a few teaching pros thrown in to round out the numbers. This type of event is probably one of the cheapest ways to see high level tennis in person.

Oh, and Baton Rouge is also hosting a Futures tournament later this month, so that may be another good opportunity to check out some good tennis in the LA area.

The Baton Rouge tournament is at the Lamar YMCA Tennis center which is really nice. It was built in recent years and really has nice courts with a nice comfortable setting. Plenty parking as well.

Don't forget the Futures tournament in Mansfield, TX coming up. Michael Mcclune is supposed to be there, among others.

No I didn't make it to any tournaments this past weekend. I am going to be in BR for the tournament during the week of the 20-28th though. I am just getting in from my Monday group at a friends house which is mainly 4.0-4.5 level guys playing doubles and we ended up a little short of players tonight so I had to play singles against one of the better players so i'm off to bed early tonight...lol

Lafayettehitter, where do you play in Laf? Red's or CityClub? or somewhere else? I was born and raised there, but moved away after college. I used to work out at Red's, but never played any tennis there.
