    Hey Everybody,

Not sure if everyone has noticed but the Mi Adidas website has the Barricade 8s available in custom set-ups.

Current colors like Hi-Res Red, Hero Ink, and others are available. The soles can come in Hard Courts and Clay Courts. But if you get the clay court soles, the only color is grey...

I was "bad" yesteday and ordered a couple of pair. One for hard and one for clay... They run $170 +tax and shipping.

    Just letting y'all know...

The wide width people were disappointed with the 7s, and now us narrow-width peeps are shut out, too. Medium only with the 8s.
    Boo.

I know this is an old thread but what colors did you end up getting? Can you post pics please?

I'd love to post pics but because I use an iPad for my postings, I can't post pics because the boards use photobucket, etc...

At any rate, I ordered 2 pairs of shoes. For hard courts, I use a Black Shoe (vamp) over Hero Ink Base and Hero Ink Overlay. The tongue is black and laces are Hero Ink. The Stripes are White and the trim and midsole are the Hi-Res Red.

For Clay I went with a Grey Shoe (vamp) over the Hi-Res Red Base and Hero Ink Overlay. The tongue and shoe strings are Hi-Res Red. The Stripes are Hero Ink and the trim and midsole are the Hi-Res Red.

Both shoes go with the line of clothes using those colors.

Unfortunately, the current available colors on Mi Adidas don't match up with the Aussie lines of the light blue and slime colors so I didn't order a shoe to go with those clothes. I just bought those that are sold at TW...

Oh man, I'd really like to see some pictures! I'll try to post pics when I get mine.

    I ordered:
    base mesh; white
    overlay; hero
    vamp; blue beauty
    eyelets; hero
    highlights; silver(no white available)
    laces; hero
    hard court sole; black
    mid sole; white
    comfort package

The comfort package has a lot to do with my ordering these. The b8s are one of the best tennis shoes I've used except all the production b8s start to have problems with the ankle eyelets after a few months, my last pair only the left shoe did this with tons of tread left. My Vapor 9s were comfortable while they lasted...bought 2 pair...got less than a total month of wear out of them while rotating with b8s.

The all black with high res red look good with red laces either like the one at the top of the mi adidas page for tennis. I would have gotten those except I already have the production black b8.

If you happen to be able to put some pics up they would be most appreciated! I'll post pics in 3 - 4 weeks.

Did you happen to select the comfort package?

I use an iPad all the time to post pics. Best way is to go to http://tinypic.com and upload your pictures there. It's free and very easy to upload, that's what I use. You then click on "raw image" of your pic and copy and past the link in the image icon on TT (the one that looks like a mountain with a yellow background). It's very simple, you can save the pictures to your iPad or just take them with the iPad.

I want to see the pictures too

I'll definitely give it a try and post up a couple of pics.

I did not get the comfort package but it also wasn't an issue for me.

I would like to see the website updated to use the current colors for 2014. I like the solar blue and white shoes I've seen some of the players wearing...

Does the comfort package change the size of the shoe?

I have not recieved them yet. I will post pics and review. From what I see on the site and discussed with a rep there is more cushioning around the ankle and top eyelets.

Finally arrived! Adidas sent me an email around 4AM saying my shoes had shipped accompanied by a tracking number that did not have package information as of yet. When I got home my shoes were already waiting at my door.

The comfort package is nice. There is a soft lining on top of the shoebox and around the sides. They feel softer than normal B8s. There is also a nice cushion around the ankle and the way they fit, I assume do to the comfort package, the top eyelets don't look to my ankles. I would highly recommend the comfort package.

Initially I wanted all Blue Beauty with White base mesh and midsole with black sole(under bottom of toe box to midsole color). I'm going to get some white laces and blue beauty, maybe yellow or orange. I like these a lot and would have purchased them sooner if I knew exactly what the comfort package was. From what I saw on the website it only did something around the ankle.

You have to have at least 50 posts to edit your posts. Don't worry, you'll be here soon. Go in the GPPD section and you'll be there in an hour

Anyway, those barricades look pretty sick! Love the blue and silver/white. Clean, solid looking pair of kicks. My only knock is that they look similar to the blue B8s that are on TW ATM, but with silver as the Band-of-Power in the heel. Either way, nice looking pair.

Great info. I tried the retail B8s, and did not like the lack of comfort around the ankle. Does the comfort package change the feel of the forefoot and/or heel cushioning as well?

@JT - From what I notice the mesh is slightly more loose around the foot compared to my black production B8s. The comfort package is mostly around the ankle from eyelet to eyelet; more cushiony with a corduroy material rather than the syntheic harder production stuff. I would recommend adding it.
