Looks like Soto making a decent comeback.
Love all Canes sports. No matter how bad. Obviously. I'm hopeless.
I mean I still try to pull for Clemson baseball, but overall I don't like the sport of baseball so much and our team hasn't been anything in recent years. I follow Clemson soccer closer than I do baseball.
what is Miami's strongest sport right now?
wow Sota rallied and took the first set. But Harrington countered with a rally of his own. The results offset each other
Baseball maybe. Ranked No. 16. Football's coming back. Basketball has a good team coming in next year. We don't have soccer but that's ok because it is worse than staring at unchanging tennis scoreboards in the middle of the night.
hey at Clemson, soccer and volleyball get full HD video for EVERY match.
Tennis is left with slow moving and often inaccurate scoreboards.
We needed Aly to take that 1st set. Oh well.
I think Clemson has too many players with A names. Called Omar Aly "Amar Aly" on Twitter. lol
The twitter also regularly uses incorrect grammar so I'm not surprised.
ha I didin't even notice that. Austin Ansari, Alejandro Augusto. Two double AAs
This isn't over for Miami yet.
I'm kind of encouraged today. Aly playing in the No. 1 spot well. Soto can still win. Gonzales got blown out but he's back. Only letdown is Flores.
Soto completely collapsed there in the final set. Hope there wasn't an injury. Bounce back on Sunday vs. Georgia Tech.
Must beat Georgia Tech. GT is improved so it will be tough but it is doable. Need Aly to put in the same type of performance and hope Gonzales is more back to form by Sunday
It's winnable but I don't have any "must" expectations for the men's team anymore. Just homer-style hoping for the best. I'll be happy if they end up with a .500 record overall this year. NCAA is out of the question any way.
Harrington and Aly in a tiebreak for the match.
Georgia Southern sweeping Georgia Tech gives me hope for Sunday.
Wrong GSU, it was Georgia State. I spent a few years there before ending up at Georgia. Fairly big rivalry between the 2 GSU's.
My bad. I was thinking Georgia State and for some reason typed Southern. Did't even realize until you told me. That's what you get for posting at 5 a.m.
Aly/Gonzalez lose the tiebreak 16-14 to drop the doubles point to GT. No. 3 dubs was in tiebreak as well. So close...
Aly on fire
No doubt. They just took 5 of 6 first sets. They have a chance to win this.
Canes close to finishing this
Need just one more win but these last three matches are starting to get close.
Singles No. 3, 4, 5 in third sets. Miami needs one of them. Just one.
Canes grabbed their first ACC win of the year! This was a much needed win!
The Canes men jump up 18 spots to No. 60 in the Massey Ratings. The ladies move up one spot to No. 12.
In the New ITA Rankings, the Canes men get back into the national rankings at No. 65. The women fall a couple spots to No. 15.
Canes played Troy today and struggled more than they should have but still win their fifth in their last six matches. Another low-ranked opponent in Boston University on Saturday.
Former Clemson commit Khachatryan lost 6-0 6-0 though. Lol I remember former Clemson women's assistant Scott Kidd (now head men's coach at Troy) thought this guy was so good. Thought he was getting a steal.
Canes men win their third straight by defeating Boston University today 6-1 at home. They are now 9-4 and will face No. 58 Wisconsin on Monday. Need that one badly to stay above .500 for the year.
The ladies are getting ready to take on No. 17 Baylor in a few minutes.
No. 15 Canes grab an impressive doubles point off of No. 17 Baylor. Singles starting soon. Go Canes!
Canes ladies take No. 6 and No. 1 singles to lead 3-0. Just need one more match. One set up at No. 5, one set down in the other three singles matches.
Canes women beat No. 17 Baylor 4-0! Pretty impressive win!
Great win Canes!!!! Baylor again got simply out coached! Baylor is talented, yet plays doubles like weak juniors. Baylor has big strong women, and hits the ball mostly like 12 yr olds. Pushing, pushing, pushing. Chip lobs... Joey S. Coaches tennis like the little man he is. Baylor need a coach that matches coaching style of the players, not a coach that coaches every player the way he would play. Power players can't be taught to push. You should never change a players playing style.
True, although Baylor was up a set on the remainder 3 matches.
Yeah, it was going to be close if Bolivar hadn't pulled it out. It was a lot closer than the score indicated.
Yes. Baylor is a much better team than their ranking indicates 4-3 loses to both Vanderbilt and Texas A&M lus the loss to UCLA was much closer than the 4-1 score indicates. Miami is the lowest ranked team the Bears has lost to all year with wins against top 10 Northwestern (5-2) and a 4-3 win against USC which wasn't as close as the score indicated. The Bears are talented dispite the poor coaching . It was truly a great win for the talented Canes.
Looks like the Miami men are going to represent the ACC well today against Wisconsin. They grabbed doubles and all five first sets that have finished so far.
Miami beats Wisconsin 4-0, and the Miami Ministry of Truth has erased all the remaining scores, even though Miami was leading in two of the final three singles matches and in the unfinished doubles match as well. Why do these LiveStats people do this?
I was a bit worried about today's match up with Wisconsin to be honest but the Canes really played well today. They really needed this with No. 13 Wake Forest and No. 25 NC State coming up this weekend.
Who knows the reason why they erase it but to be honest, if they do regular updates and don't screw up the final score like NC State, then I'm not going to complain too much.
Wisconsin is super over rated but that was a good performance from Miami.
strange that miami easily swept them, but alright wisconsin is not a top75 team in my eyes
This was written from a Canes Fan's point of view so I'll post it here too. Venting is healthy!
The roller coaster ride of an expatriate college tennis fan. It ain't easy and can be pretty frustrating. the situation in college tennis right now is downright horrible and unacceptable. If they kept the scoreboard updates for football/basketball, there would be mass uprisings and American would cease to exist as we know it.

Canes take the doubles point from No. 18 Wake Forest! Let's go Canes!

Gonzalez 6-2 Ho
Albanese 3-6 Dumon
Tsukamoto 3-4 Kunz

it looks so weird that canes are leading ^^
how good is Aly? he s about taking set from bogaerts
He's been a solid no. 1 for us this year. Has won his last six matches in that position. But still surprised he's winning this match. Awesome job so far.
