Omar Aly apparently has a groin strain and is very doubtful for the Sunday match against Virginia Tech. Bad timing for Miami.

Never say no chance until it's over. There's always a chance.

Important match today. Without Aly it's going to be tough for Miami. This would be a huge weekend for VT, much like Miami's last weekend.

    VT takes doubles point.

Miami missing both Aly and Albanese today. Gonna be tough.

Canes lose 4 of 6 first sets but Flores fighting #19 Contini well. Leads 5-4 in the first. Need some comebacks.

Canes go down 4-0 to the Hokies. Tough weekend but they were without their top player. Still have a few more chances this season. Go Canes!

Thanks. They will probably need to beat Florida State at home on April 19th to get into the NCAA tournament. Hope Aly is better by then.

Canes are down to No. 47 after the Virginian Double Beat Down Special. They now face the following:

    Duke (loss)
    North Carolina (loss)
    Notre Dame (loss)
    Boston College (win)
    Florida State (win)

They have the Seminoles at home and the Noles are reeling a bit. I only said win for the FSU match because if it's a loss, then they'll need to do some incredible things in the ACC tournament.

Miami live scoring quit working in doubles. I saw on twitter that Duke is up big though.

Yep, broke down. Again. Twitter is trying their best to keep up though.

Duke up 3-0 and up everywhere else too. Should be over soon.

Canes men and women playing at same time. Canes scoreboard down since Duke doubles on Friday and Canes at Duke apparently you have to register and log on to view Duke's scores. LOL

Only Twitter available today. Both teams lost the doubles point.

Aly took down No. 25 Ronnie Scneider though. Great win for him. Notre Dame and Florida State matches still give us a chance.

If the Canes play Notre Dame the same way they played UNC on Sunday, I think they have a good chance to pull off an upset.

Canes slammed in the singles after a relatively close doubles. Thought it would be more competitive today.

The Canes have 2 games left. At Boston College and hosting Florida State. After they beat BC, their record will be 14-9 (4-6). Not sure if beating No. 31 FSU is going to be enough to get into the NCAA anymore. If they lose they're out. If they beat the Noles, maybe an outside chance. But after seeing the way they were catholicked yesterday, My confidence as a fan is low.

But they have a chance. That's something that I didn't think I could say a month ago.

Thanks. The matches not being updated as they happen is the problem. The home site usually posts the results a few hours after the matches. I get that.

Miami has to be one of the most inconsistent teams in the country. Beating Wake and NC State during an inspired weekend and then dropping 3 sets against Boston College and almost losing doubles? Giving UNC a tough fight but also barely beating North Florida and getting beat handily by Clemson and Notre Dame.

Hard to figure them out. Flores especially with baffling inconsistencies.
