    I watched it, and didn't see anything that convinced me that a submission could never be used successfully in a street fight.

    knives or anything else you can get your hands on. Being on the ground trying to use grappling moves is no good. Its why military is trained to end you standing with a quick strike. Yes they learn to grapple but its a last choice. In that thing i linked the instructor even says the guy that wins the fight is the one whos buddies show up with a gun first.

    There are just to many ways for someone to do things to you that isnt allowed in competition. Sports combat is a different world. There is combat BJJ but its almost barely taught because competition BJJ is really big right now.
