    I agree with you....alot of athlethes take sweets and it gives them a sugar boost so i suppose coke would be no different

    Carbonated fizzy drinks can have their benefits sometimes, including in hospitals. Yeah, the hospital is receiving money for having those vending machines in them, but when you're stressed out and worried about a sick relative & you haven't eaten or drunk anything in a while, a can of coke can give you a much needed boost.

    I can very easily believe the benefits it would have for athletes. My sugar rush of choice when I go running is a small bag of jelly beans :)

    The Ferrer and Djokovic matches both show what happens when you eat right.

    Both looked fresh as a daisy after tough matches, and I didn't see coke or candy bars near either of them.
