MonoGut - Can I make a full job a hybrid?

    I don't like my all-Monogut 16L job in my X1 @ 51 lbs. Can a stringer simply cut out the crosses and install some syngut or does the whole job have to be cut out? It's a 2-piece job.

    It could be done, but it's not recommended. This puts a lot of stress on the frame and since the strings are used it is hard to determine what tension to use when installing the new crosses(the mains will have lost a significant amount of tension).
