OK Novak, a breadstick will do just fine.
Much better than the last two days but not really been tested against a tired looking opponent.
Until the final of course my dear veroniquem.
Djoko had better be ready to peak to face clay monster Fognini
See you there my friend
Fognini is playing some good stuff out there but Gasquet was beyond terrible.
Based on this performance, Novak should win be it in 2 or 3 sets.
I'm already here. 8)
Nieminen has no business being here today in the first place. That was a gift from Delpo. Djoko will smile and say "thank you" as the polite boy he is
Novak moving better today and hitting with more depth (which was really lacking against Monaco).
In the final? No, not yet. Soon 8)
Djoko serving for the match at 5-2.
Novak trolling now. What's happened to the concept of holding?
2nd set was a bit weird but... on to Fognini! Nice straight setter today.
Novak's serve has been ass in this tournament.
It will improve tomorrow no doubt. 8)
Hey Vero, why are you talking with your self? There is a term specially reserved for people who do so ...
Novankle holds on for the win. Bit shakey at the end but the better player on the day.
This ankle nonsense needs to stop now though, it's getting stupid. He really needs to shut up about it and tell his coach to stop making things up (dislocated foot yesterday, really?) Proper ankle injuries put you out for weeks, you don't simply play through them.
Nole in straight sets over the fin-lander, Nole hit the ball better today, his drop shot was devastating, he pretty much hit to the fin's backhand, good strategy.
Exactly as predicted despite a few last minute wobbles from Djoko.
Ankle/schmankle, Djokovic is practically at full capacity, moving well and hitting well.
Should be another interesting encounter in the final between him and Rafa (does anyone SERIOUSLY think it won't be those two facing off against each other yet again come Sunday?).
Clarky. If all that stood between Nadal and the final was my grandmother (the one who died about 18 years ago) she would insist anyone beliveing Nadal will make the final is delusional. But I doubt she is really serious, so yeah maybe no-one thinks it will be anyone else.
Oh the irony, the ****ing irony.
No it doesn't need to stop, Novak and his coach can say whatever they want to, get over it.
If anything it's nice to see Nadal and his fans getting a bit of their own medicine for once (the always injured warrior who prevails despite all odds, blah blah blah).
Yeah, you can't play through an ankle injury but you can play through broken foot, stomach tear and utterly dominate the CC season with injured knees.
Tendonitis in the knees (which was 8 months ago) is slightly different to an alleged dislocated bone in the foot and badly sprained ankle, the latter of which you wouldn't be able to walk on let alone play 3 more sets of tennis in the same match. Absolute load of tosh. Novankle needs to stop make excuses, shut up about the (perfectly fine) ankle and let his tennis do the talking. Not look for excuses when he loses.
Tendonitis in the knees that doesn't prevent Nadal from making a mockery of the tour in CC season yet it's talked about all the time.
But you can reach a Wimbledon final with a broken foot no problem, right? How about reaching a USO SF with a stomach tear?
No he doesn't, Nadal doesn't have a monopoly over the injured warrior act and milking one's injuries for all its worth.
Short answer? No.
It would be their 8th final on clay vs each other. So far: 2 in M-C, 3 in Rome, 1 in Madrid and 1 at RG. To be continued...
I think Djok has taken it to a whole new level with this little performance in the last couple of weeks. Absolutely unreal. Great sport in a match but his whingeing after matches (and during) about injuries is just too much now.
You've also taken it to a new level of non-stop bickering about it :???:
amen, can't even enter a thread without him being there already posting same butthurt crap all over again.
"I think, I think I think." good for you, now stop spamming same bs.
If Nadal entered a futures event, and his first round opponent was Chris Wettengel, Clarky would say that Nadal would have problems reading that unorthodox serve, and Wettengel would win 4 and 4.
Just caught a reply of Nadal vs. Dimitrov... what an exciting match...
Good fight from both players. Some nice clay court tennis, touch shots, athleticism, spins, variety of point construction...
Grigor is coming of age, 'all courting it' on clay. Nadal is still strong despite not being 100%. Good times for tennis.
That's a good recipe for Nadal to break Djok's serve 2-3 times per set. Good to hear
This needs to be put against the definition of "Irony" in the dictionaries.
Nadal fans giving @#@# to an injured Novak when Nadal talks injuries 24x7x365 for as long as he has been on tour.
Wow... Kinda feel sorry for Tsonga at the moment... Rafa running away with the match...
I don't think Novaks serve has been real good this year, but we may see an improvement today and most likely tomorrow.
Match starting now...
first set 6-2 in Djokovic's favour. Nadal still to win this imo.
The real question is, how long until NSK comes back with one of his 50 aliases claiming Nadal will trounce Djokovic in Madrid?
Djoker wins the match with an injured ankel in Rafa's backyard. Imagine what a fully fit Djoker could do at RG? Rafa needs to pray for Djoker to land in Roger's half to do the job of taking him out ala 2011. Otherwise its going to be a nightmare for him this year.
Djoker was fit bro...
Did you enjoy the revenge match?
Is that Ralph on his honches in the shadow of the trophy? OMG!
