I havent played for 10 years, and my old partner adviced me to get a wilson k95 (open) cos it's the equivalebt of my old wilson tour 95 (open). But I find groundstrokes very inconsistent, in the sense that I hit the ball the way I want to, but I never know where it's going to land. I've read in this forums that the 18x20 has more control, and wanted to ask if there are any specific strings and tension you would recommend in order to get more control out of a 16x18 pattern at least until I get back in shape (i'm a former 5+ junior, currently around 3 I think).

personally i dont like sensation, too erratic in a way.. try prince synt gut original, or a different syntgut you can get in a thicker gauge(like Toa) Tension is fine, 55.

Yeah, i dunno if its the strings or the tension, but the stringbed feels a bit loose for my taste..

could be the strings, i had no idea where the ball would land when i used them. NXT or Technifibre trc is better if you must have multi.

How about the champions choice? I like the idea of having both gut and alu, even though I'm not sure such combo would give me the control I'm hoping to get..

You could try it, but the Alu may eat through the gut fairly quick. Alu cross at50 and natgut mains at 57 should be good. Or synt gut instead of alu at 55.

I think that you could benefit more from head rip control than alu/nat. gut at the moment. Wait till you get back into it properly befor you try poly. I would sugest you try rip control @ 58 first.
