I'm looking to get a pair of new shoes to replace my Nike Air Zoom Vapor 3's which I hate with a passion. I just rolled my ankle in them AGAIN and I've had it. Never again.

I used to wear the Breathe Free II's and absolutely loved them. Wondering if the Breathe Cage's are comparable or should I go with the Adidas Barricade IV's? Which is better in terms of lateral stability. I'm also going to start wearing ankle braces whenever I play now, so I'd also like to know which pair is better suited to ankle braces.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I'd say the Barricade IV's. They're DEFINITELY better suited to ankle braces. No question. But IMO, they're also more stable.

Actually, the Breathe Cages allow room in the ankle area of the shoe for braces. If you want a lighter shoe that has great cushioning, go with the Cage.
