Regarding Deuce pick Patty Fendick, former Cal coach Scott McCain is still doing penance for marrying a Stanfuuurd woman. Condi's list looked sharp and full of great talents until she listed Kiefer. Did the LSD kick in after typing Federer, Condi?

Here's the definitive arbitrary subjective list of favourites:

    Sabatini (beautiful game, beautiful person)
Hingis (chess master game, touch, entertaining unfiltered speaking)
    Seles (brilliant concetration, great person)
    Graf (great champion, class act)
    Navratilova (great, great mind)

McEnroe (an arrogant bully, but brilliant game and brilliantly creative and disordered mind)
Federer (nothing needs to be said)
Wilander (underrated as a player, great spirit who loves the game)
Sampras (Determined champion, easy going and respectful)
    Laver (set the standards)

I'm glad that someone recognizes Fendick.

I loved watching her. I've never seen another player - male or female - with as much genuine 'grit' and toughness as she possessed.

A true fighter, in every sense of the word.

If I had to add a 6th woman to my list I would have to add Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario. I just loved the way she always hung in there, even though she didn't hit with a lot of power, and got ball after ball back to the eternal frustration of many players, Graf included.

Just noticed how FEW people mentioned the Williams sisters. Interesting considering the play they get in the press for broadening the base of tennis fans. Few mentioned King or Court eitehr.
