Current or retired ATP or WTA player. A youtube link to appreciate would be excellent.

Most of those serves are one-offs meant to throw off their opponents.

Two players whose serves were highlighted in a Tennis Channel production, 'Best of Five: Worst Shots' are Jay Berger's and Karsten Braasch's serves. Awkward, yet effective.

why did Lendl get so mad when Chang did it to him then?

that is a sick serve though. I wish the video was better quality and had a replay so I could copy his motion

I couldn't find a You Tube clip, but the weirdest motion I can remember was by a Czech girl named Eva Melicharova.

She played mixed doubles against McEnroe/Graf in their first round match at Wimbledon. It has been so long since I have last seen it that I can't remember exactly what it looked like. It seems like she had a bunch of herky-jerky contortions before she hit the ball.

I do remember that it was so weird that Steffi was laughing at her. And it seemed like the crowd was giggling every time she had to serve. Here is a link to an article about the match and a reference to Graf's reaction.

Years ago at Wimbeldon there was a hitch serve much worse than that. I remember the crowd laughing at the poor girl.

I can't remember her name but am sure it may have been Novatna she played.

    Does anybody remember this?

Didn't Steffi pull out of the mix, after reaching the singles final I think? And John was pretty mad at her for doing that? Too bad, they could have gone all the way to win the tournament.

Karsten Braasch for sure. I read somewhere that he smoked between change overs too.

The other player is definitely Mac... and I think the one serving was Nastase the original bad boy.
