Going to chuck one up to Yonex Poly Tour Pro
Unfortunately there's WAY TOO MANY good polys to choose from - this can drive you batsh*t crazy after a while! LOL :twisted:Going to chuck one up to Yonex Poly Tour Pro
A reel price difference of $15 is no big deal but here's some more comparisons:
- GS-PC - no slimy residue, good string forum ratings, easier to manage/string, ALSO get an entire reel of nice 16g Syn Gut for same price of SPPP.
- SP-PP - bit of a slimy residue, excellent string forum ratings, harder to manage/string, comes in 17L.
I think GS-PC is leading but some players/stringers I know swear by SPPP. Right now playing life is my priority. Must decide asap!
But still need to try out SB first! LOL (i.e. on my Mains).
Genesis Black Magic in 17.
Ya I've played with Kirschbaum Pro Line II - not too shabby - does feel a bit plasticy - $89 is a nice price for a reel considering sets ON SALE are $12I haven't read the entire thread so not sure if this has been mentioned yet - I would say Kirschbaum Pro Line II is underrated.

I don't get that plasticity feel you mentioned with PL2. For me it's a nice smooth, soft-feeling poly. Yeah, the reel price is very attractive [emoji5]Ya I've played with Kirschbaum Pro Line II - not too shabby - does feel a bit plasticy - $89 is a nice price for a reel considering sets ON SALE are $12
Hey Marsh. How do these compare to the Volkl Cyclone (if you have used those)?Golden Set Snake Bite for a shaped poly and Golden Set Power Chord for a smooth poly. For the price, they are both a great value.

Pardon the interuption but I've played many sets with Volkl Cyclone. Golden Set is wayyy better in terms of feel, tension maintenance, and lasts much longer than Volkl Cyclone, especially in the case of Power Cord. Actually, the thought of going back to Volkl makes me feel like throwing up.Hey Marsh. How do these compare to the Volkl Cyclone (if you have used those)?
Wow thats a pretty intense review hihi. I just strung with cyclone and I do have power cord lying around. Now i see your message.i guess i will still try the cyclone for now and see how it fares.Pardon the interuption but I've played many sets with Volkl Cyclone. Furthermore, Golden Set for PREMIUM (co)Poly is not into high profit margins. It's a BARGAIN compared to big brand names like Volkl, and you save lotsa moola $$$. You can't go wrong with Power Cord, but lotsa peeps also like Snake Bite which now has a couple different versions.
Well Outlast is 3 times more expensive than Pros pro. Furthermore Revolution, Hyper g, or Tb are even mlre expensive in Europe!Pros Pro is soso.
Prefer Solinco Outlast or Volkl Cyclone.
