Most underrated poly's on the market

A reel price difference of $15 is no big deal but here's some more comparisons:
  • GS-PC - no slimy residue, good string forum ratings, easier to manage/string, ALSO get an entire reel of nice 16g Syn Gut for same price of SPPP.

  • SP-PP - bit of a slimy residue, excellent string forum ratings, harder to manage/string, comes in 17L.

I think GS-PC is leading but some players/stringers I know swear by SPPP. Right now playing life is my priority. Must decide asap!

But still need to try out SB first! LOL :D (i.e. on my Mains).

If possible I'd try out a pack of both. The biggest issue I've had with SPPP is breakage on the stringer. I've had about 4-5 sets break while pulling tension. It's a "common" issue with Signum Pro's line. Some reels they made a while ago had some manufacturing issues and they would snap when pulling tension. Occasionally a reel from that line will make it into the shop.

Solinco Revolution, SPPP, Solinco Outlast, and Head Lynx are all strings that I think play really well, but in the overall tennis community (not these boards) no one seems to know/care about.

I haven't read the entire thread so not sure if this has been mentioned yet - I would say Kirschbaum Pro Line II is underrated.

Ya I've played with Kirschbaum Pro Line II - not too shabby - does feel a bit plasticy - $89 is a nice price for a reel considering sets ON SALE are $12 :)

kirschbaum helix seems to have gone completely under the radar while the pro line II has gotten too much exposure in my opinion - i think it had more to do with the red colour than it's playing characteristics, which does not mean it's bad but in my opinion just solid average if you manage to break it quickly enough so you don't experience the rather steep second tension loss.

tecnifibre rough code is also eclipsed by either the red code or the black code for reasons beyond my understanding.

i recently played the weiss-cannon turbotwist and found it a lot more appealing to me than the black5edge for instance.

I don't get that plasticity feel you mentioned with PL2. For me it's a nice smooth, soft-feeling poly. Yeah, the reel price is very attractive [emoji5]

Golden Set Snake Bite for a shaped poly and Golden Set Power Chord for a smooth poly. For the price, they are both a great value.
Hey Marsh. How do these compare to the Volkl Cyclone (if you have used those)?

Pardon the interuption but I've played many sets with Volkl Cyclone. Golden Set is wayyy better in terms of feel, tension maintenance, and lasts much longer than Volkl Cyclone, especially in the case of Power Cord. Actually, the thought of going back to Volkl makes me feel like throwing up.

Furthermore, Golden Set for PREMIUM (co)Poly is not into high profit margins. It's a BARGAIN compared to big brand names like Volkl, and you save lotsa moola $$$. You can't go wrong with Power Cord, but lotsa peeps also like Snake Bite which now has a couple different versions.

Boris Becker Big Bomber 16 is a really nice string. It was also super cheap when I got it. I think my reels were like $65 each.

Pros Pro is soso.
Prefer Solinco Outlast or Volkl Cyclone.
Well Outlast is 3 times more expensive than Pros pro. Furthermore Revolution, Hyper g, or Tb are even mlre expensive in Europe!
Golden set or Genesis are completely unknown to me. I even wouldnt know where to buy them.
I think Oehms strings are fairly under the radar too, or Dunlop black window?
