multi strings...

    hey i keep hearing about multi strings. but what exactly are they? and how are they different?

    can you give me some examples?

    please try to leave out the acronyms as i am not familiar with them.

    MULTIfilament strings. All natural gut strings are made from multiple ribbons of gut wrapped together to make one string. Synthetic Gut uses nylon or some other man made material but multis are nothing more than one filament

    multifilament strings are designed to simulate natural gut at a more modest price, although it is no where near natural gut in comparison. they are soft on the arm, higher powered than synthetic gut, and hold tension better. generally, they are composed of many many fibers braided together.
