pretty straight forward, whats better in the cross multi or poly? I've been told to put poly in the mains since the mains are often what breaks first ...

There have been a few threads debating this, but for overall durability, I think poly mains and either of the other two as a cross. The other way around plays great, too, but the softer strings will slide along the poly and eventually be sawed through. Great while it lasts, though. Poly x multi or syn is still really good and lasts for a good while. I'm using BHBR x Proform Tuff, and it has great feel, spin, playability, power and durability.
