And he didn´t need to play last week. Haas lost some points so Murray passed him. Murray could easily pass Blake next week to reach no. 9.
Karlovic climbed 46 spots in the rankings, he is no. 62.

What do you mean with "finally"? He turned pro recently.

He has been close to the top 10 in the last months (like one match away sometimes) but couldn´t convert his chances. I think this moment was expected, it´s really important for a pro when he breaks into the top 10 for the first time. He doesn´t have many points to defend until Wimbledon so I can see him in the top 8 in a short time.

I don't expect him to stay in the Top 10 for that long. Murray probably won't do anything on clay. He could lose to Gicquel in the 2nd round at Monte Carlo.

but he hasn't many points to defend : he went 2-5 on clay last year !
(4-5 if you count his september davis cup matches)

anyway, we have to update the list of top 10 teenagers :

    now they are 19. ;)

Nb: the other andy (roddick) still holds his terrific record of being the oldest teenager to ever make it to the top 10 !

I expect a great hard court season from Murray but clay and grass could go either way depending on draws.

Murray has said that clay is his favourite surface. I'm sure the sheer number of clay court specialists who grind for their living will make it really difficult for him but I think he'll do ok.

I can remember him saying his best chance at a Major would be at the US Open, but maybe he likes playing on clay instead.
