How annoying. Our site reported it an hour before them and everyone is linking to BBC instead. Not only that, but they used our headline! :D

ouch that sucks for Andy, was looking forward to how the 3 and 4 ranking tussle would play out over the next couple of months but if Andy isn't able to play it's a tad dissapointing D:

Independent websites take support to gain popularity. We should help you out all we can.

Wow, I can't imagine why more people would see it on BBC instead of murraysworld.

The BBC link I posted seems a bit negative. Other sites are a bit more upbeat - Murray has been given permission by the docs to start light training from tomorrow. IW still a possibility.

Is he having a laugh at Federer? Their psychological war… The favorite vs. The hypochondriac.

No, no, I didn't create it. I'm on the News Team. A guy called Mark created it in 2005. It was going to be the official site a few years ago until Ace group took over Andy's management and the current official Murray site was created.

Nice of you to say that. We were the first Andy Murray site, but the official site obviously gets more hits now.

I don't recall saying that they would. I was merely pointing out the fact that they posted the story much later than we did and it's unfortunate that most people are linking to them because they are more visible. It's not a big deal.

No he does NOT have mono. Timesonline reported this 1 week ago and this is what I posted on the first Murray mono thread.

So here I go again MURRAY DOES NOT HAVE MONO!!!!!!!!!!!!

    March 1

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/spo...cle5809092.ece

Murray maintained he had extensive blood tests carried out in London earlier this month which would seem to rule out the possibility of glandular fever that has affected Roger Federer and seriously hampered the career of Croatia’s Mario Ancic. However his symptoms are ominous. “It’s the head, the throat and just aching generally,” he said. “My arms and legs are just feeling stiff and sore. Everything but my stomach is not feeling great.”

Now, if you notice, yesterday's article was written by Barry Flatman.

To-days article was written by Neil Harman

    so, who got it right???

I put my bets on Flatman who presented a factual article complete with a relevant quote by quote by Murray.

To-day's article mentioning something about eggs??? is IMO a case of flowery journalistic drama....

... “I woke up in the middle of the night sweating,” said the 21 year-old who ironically was stricken with a virus the last time the British team played in Glasgow two years ago and could only face Serbia and Montenegro in the doubles.

Make that of what you will.

Sorry, but this is old news.

No, it's not old news. And I'll tell you why. Judy Murray said today that the most recent blood tests cleared Andy of mono, which she said was what they had all been waiting to hear.

I think Judy Murray is more aware of the status of her son's health than you or I.

To be fair to Poundcat, he was only showing that The Times' 2 tennis journos had said different things on different days and that he was more inclined to go with the story by Flatman (with AM quotes), than Harman, who seemed to have pulled the mono diagnosis out of his butt.
