    haha.

idk its like, i bash him all the time but atm i feel that he will win it. he's been tested in a good amount of matches and it seems like he's ready for a slam.

if nadal were to go out, i say that title is up for grabs.

tbh I thought he would lose today but I have to say he played super tennis especially when it mattered.

Berdych should be another step up because if anyone saw the isner game they will know berdych is playing phenomenally well. In fact today the commentator asked is this the best match berdych has ever played?

He was hitting clean winners off isners serve it was awesome.

So expect murray to win easy in straight sets. :)

He has been playing well. Only thing is it's been pretty physical. He's going to have to preserve some energy from this point on, but yeah, he could win. Anything can happen.

Another one of these "I have a feeling threads". Honestly, I'd like to see him win, it'd be nice for him to finally get the monkey off his back. Still, he's not a natural clay courter and I would be surprised if he beat Federer, Nadal or Djokovic and even guys like Ferrer, Verdasco, Almagro etc can give him fits on clay.

He's had a pretty tough draw, if he is to win it all then he will of had to play something like Gasquet, Chela, Baghdatis, Berdych, Tsonga, Federer and then Nadal. That's pretty much as bad as it gets.

If he could somehow get to the semi's then that will be a great achievement for him.

^^^I agree. However I think that if Murray can get to the semis he could beat federer. He'll be picking up steam the deeper he goes into the tourney, and can only be bad for his opponents.

I'm not sure he will reach the semi finals, but i too think that maybe he could beat Federer. Maybe the clay will have a different impact than on hard court.

If he gets past Federer he better beat nadal....I rather have a Murray-Nadal semi on RG...and if murray wins...then I would pick murray to win RG. Had Murray won agianst Federer and faced Nadal in the final...Nadal would smoke his ass. Murray is better off getting to the semi's.

I hope he wins though....I want to see SliceFox's reaction!

Murray won't win RG. He'll almost certainly have to beat Federer and Nadal to do so. Highly unlikely he'll beat one of them let alone both.

Too right. I was pleased with his quarter final last year, if he could match that again or possibly go one further to the semi's then that would be a very good showing for him.

His defense has been very very impressive, but against the top players, I don't think it will be enough. Gasquet was playing like a top 10 player for the first 2 sets and he was just too much for Murray. Unfortunately, I think until Murray's ground game becomes stronger, he won't be able to go that extra step and win a slam.

OP, Have you been studying my posts, my detailed analyses of Murray's game in various threads before embarking on stealing my prediction ???

Shame ! You should credit me with being the first person to declare Murray as the GOAT and RG winner.

No he won't. He'll be lucky if he can dress himself without further embarrassment for the duration of the tournament. Instructions: Unbutton shirt, THEN stuff head through.

I think he has a better chance on the dirt than the grass, anyway good luck to him. If he wins he will be British and if he loses he will be Scottish! That's tabloid the press for you.

I think he will have his chances but not sure whether he can win RG this year, maybe next year or the year after that (he needs to improve his second serve). Wimbledon is something I think he can win this year.

Murray win the French??!! He can't even win at Modern Warfare 2.

Even if he makes it to the semis, Super Saiyan Roger will take him out in 3 or 4.

Like I said it will take a Nadal or a Federer to beat him at RG, he is better than the rest by far.

hm, the likelihood of this happening <1%. Everyone should agree however that Murray or Djokovic taking the FO would make tennis much much more exciting.

Fed and Nadal should tank it to make the "weak" era stronger, haha.

    It's not that high!:)

Would love to see it AM95, but I think there's as much chance of Murray winning it as there is of Elvis presenting him with the trophy after riding Shergar on to Chatrier.

The chances this year are very low, but in his career, it's not completely impossible.

If Murray gets to the semis, he'll have had a great tournament. This is a slam though, so he would be lucky to get a set off Federer if they played.

some say " weak era" . That´s laughable.I mean, the top 30 is way better that years ago. Hewitt and Ferrero were number 1, ok, they are not as good as they were, but it´s easy to see that peak Hewitt , peak ferrero, peak Safin... are way worse than Federer, Nadal or Djokovic. The thing is, we have now 2 of the best tennis players EVER. That prevents people like Djoker or murray from being number 1, they´d be number one in almost any other era. 2 super stars winning all the time DON´T make this era "weak"

im by no means a murray fan boy..im sure you can find multiple posts where i insult murray and his playing style.

it just seems that he's ready to win a slam....and i'm not sure why, but i feel like he will win RG this yr.

Name me one player in Nadal's half that will beat Nadal AND Federer in the same tournament. Djokovic is a stretch and anyone else is just impossible. So, a more logical call would be, if Nadal gets beaten, Federer will win.

Murray has no chance to win Roland Garros.

None, zero, zilch, rien, nada, zip, duck's egg, not a scatter cushion.
