my clamps are dying

    a few months ago i bought a used silent parter e.stringer fl..so far it has been great but tonight the clamps just wont grip the string not matter how tight i pull them, do you recommend buying new clamps, or buying a new stringer

    Have you tried cleaning your clamps? Get a cloth, soak it in rubbing alcohol, clamp it into your clamps, let is sit for a while, then rip it out (with the clamps still locked).

    If your clamps are dirty that should fix it.

    What do you want to do? If you want a new stringer, buy one....

    If you like the machine and your clamps are not functioning properly and cleaning doesn't work, replace them....

    what's so tough about this decision?
