There was a thread about open stance one hand backhands so I thought I would post mine up.
This is the shot I sometimes use on backhand floaters & high balls, my friends call it my "Ole" shot lol. I usually use a two hand backhand on lower balls.

It is during a doubles match & the camera moved on the mesh when it was hit by the ball so it is left side only on the video.

Personally, I also think it works, especially for my lazy feet.
I use it more on ROS situations.

Looked like a good shot, but, no offense, that was not a high backhand for you.

Chest to shoulder height (you made contact slightly below your shoulder) is surely a comfortable height for most one-handers provided you are not using a continental grip.

Neck height to above head height is where it starts to get high.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I was more referring to high bounces or weak return floaters (taken at chest height).
I was told it was quite "unique" in regards to the open stance & bull fighting "Ole" style haha. I can get some pretty good pace on it but have to really time it right to nail it.

I really need to work on my low ball backhand, especially taking them on the rise. Ill post a vid soon.

Thanks for the comments. Cheers ~ TG

Pretty unusual shot- not often you see a 1HBH follow-through end up at thigh height. Sort of the BH equivalent of the dip drive I guess.

Im not sure if it should be in that category. You have to swing pretty hard.
