Hey guys, I see this too many times on this forum. There are two types of people. Not players, but people. Some people like flashy items of clothing because we (I am definitely in that category) like to look good in whatever we are doing (let's call us the early Agassi group). It's not to draw attention to us but if someone happens to compliment us then we like the compliments. What we don't like are people that try to down our style because they don't understand our need for flare. It's not jealousy, it's just ignorance to what our kind likes.

On the flip side, there are people that prefer simple, more refined patterns and designs of clothing. These people think that all white Nikes with a simple black Swoosh are fantastic looking (let's call them the Sampras group). The Vapors are a good example of a line that releases something for both types of people every year. The people like Tim tend to like the Wimbledon gear (not saying I don't like them but I don't want to have them either, just too plain for me). People like the guys that posted their shoes probably would be quicker to buy the French Open gear because they are usually more colorful.

Sorry to thread jack but my wife (Sampras group) and I (Agassi group) have the same arguments over clothes, especially my love for the kinds of tennis and basketball shoes I buy and play in. She is on the simple, refined side of the coin while I am on the wild and radical side.

With all that said, this is just one design I like.

If it makes the person happy and they like them, then thats all that counts. The attitude of people looking down there noses at players with bright stuff that only adds to the reputation of tennis still being a snobby sport.

As its been posted, the new barricade 6 (retail) come narrow. Does any one know if you order miadidas, they offer narror and regular, would regular equal retail fit?

These came today, only 2 weeks to the day after ordering! I like the way they turned out except for the Cincinnati Bearcats logo is a lot smaller than represented when building the shoe on miadidas and looks pretty cheesy. They fit great; I recommend getting the "comfort package"-extra heel and collar padding, feels good![/QUOTE]

is that the core yellow color dude?

Wow, I was playing around on there last night and came up with basically the same shoe. I made it like that, cardinal (I think that is the name) and gray. And than I made cardinal with black stripes and laces. For some reason I really liked that color. If you do get these, please post some pics.

No offence guys, you both have nice shoes, but I just feel if you are going to get custom shoes you get an odd colorway.

Warren, didn't you know they were putting out a shoe just like that?

And kimbahpnam, you could have got the Wimbledon colorway and just changed the laces.

In both cases you could have had the same basic look for about $50 less.

Has anyone tried the Clima package, how would you rate it in comfort and breathability? Do you still feel stable? If so, please compare the two packages.

i was surprised looking at the pair in the OP. The mock-up clearly has matt stripes, the actual shoes, high-gloss stripes.

I know it's a small thing but you'd think they could get that right...

Hmm, just played with the configurator. Disappointing that some areas (like the sole, or the quarter cable) aren't as customisable as you'd expect, I mean, it's not possible to have an all-black or all-white pair, something i would have thought people would want.

Also, the logo changes colour with the laces? Seemed odd.

I tried red laces but there has to be "snow" there and it went better with the outsole.

    I approve, mtommer.

I wish the green that adidas has were a tad darker. Whenever I design with green, I'm always find myself making a crocodile looking shoe.

No fedace, it's not. Look into any shoe shop, of course they'll have these Adidas shoes in them, with every single possibility. But that became too much of a hassle so they just have the possibilities on MiAdidas and you can choose yourself. You can even mix them together! Incredible, isn't it?

And others are timid and fearful of what other people will say if their shoes don't look just like everyone else's. Hey, if you wouldn't wear them, so what? Why must you pour cold water on someone's excitement over their new shoes?

Too safe! Too normal! Why spend the extra money for a shoe that looks just like something adidas would come out with on their own???
