About to go on for the doubles match on court one, Blake and Sock playing... Lets see if I can get more player gossip.

Vs, any idea what haas is using? It's a Prestige Mp PJ, and the throat code appeared to be PT57A, but don't count on that being correct.

Yes, Haas uses the PT57A/Pro Tour 630. He has a long history with that stick. When he first was out on the Tour that is what he was using.

Dodig is playing with a pro stock, because I saw the code, but I couldn't see clearly what it said. It was a radical PJ.

I'm working the first two matches and watching the other two. Out of Haas and Gulbis one of them should smash a racket... I'll try to get one if that happens.

Was gonna go see Gulbis/Haas, but decided to just watch on tv... Jimmy Arias just said he puts the over/under at 2 broken frames for the match. With all the wind, it seems quite reasonable.

I was staring at the frame looking for cracks when that happened... I am working tonight since some people had to cancel.

2k pics on my camera waiting to be uploaded, thanks for reminding me.

Not that anyone cares about women's tennis (sorry WTA but its true), but I'm probably working fed cup in Delray.

    Isner was pissed tonight.

I asked the other guy for a Lacoste wristband... Lol. He said no, usually I can get one.

In other news, I've been tweeting with Dustin Brown lately...

Yes, I bet Big John was pissed, not only because he obviously played bad.
he needed to play another final.

Try again with ERV, hopefully he wins & you might get a shirt!:)

Glad Dustin is still around, hoping he hooks up more with Chris Kas, there is some money to be made in doubles if you work at it.

When you get time: Post some of your photos, would be interested.

I think I'm going to skip the doubles final and only go for the singles final. I need some time to get pics up.

    I'm uploading pictures now...

Just a little clue on what might be in there: I was so close to Isner I had to switch to a wide angle lens...

On my way home... Asked Ernie for his B7s. Nope. I asked ERV for his Lacoste sweatshirt. Nope. At least I tried.

I'll probably try and get down to the Sony Ericsson for the early rounds before I go to Hawaii.

Just curious (I know I'll be the party pooper here) were you in your ballkid kit when you went around asking pros for their stuff?

I was a ballboy in the 70s at the USO and WCT events and my son is a ballkid (can't say ballboy anymore) at the clay courts.........it's EXPRESSLY forbidden for the ballkids to ask for stuff and when I was doing it same rules - you were told in no uncertain terms to just do your job. We were rewarded very often (I have frames from Vilas, Borg, Nastase, Connors - also some warmups from Borg and Vilas) but we never went around and bugged the players.

I worked in the WCT and help here at the US Clay Courts and if we ever catch a ballkid asking for player gear he/she would be gone in a flash. I must assume Delray had similar rules?

Probably, but judging by the empty seats, nobody there to enforce it.

Yep... But we get a sweatshirt that everybody turns inside out and puts on. Turn the hat backwards, inside out sweatshirt (or any non ballkid uniform t-shirt/jacket on top of the ballkid uniform shirt) and you are good to go. We have a party on the Friday before semis and a player comes. This year it was Dustin Brown, past years we've had Karlovic, Moser, and R. Harrison. Something that nobody notices, during the early rounds Dustin Brown goes out and watches matches from the bleachers.

^If Haas and Isner had come through the semi's, I suspect they would've had a similar turnout, in spite of the weather.
