I started this thread 4 years ago and I am glad it continues to draw responses. Since my original post in 2006, I have played:

    Babolat Pure Storm Tour
Babolat Aero Storm (12 oz version)

Now looking at Prestige Pro and BLX 6.1 16x18. If someone came out with a 16 x18 Rok, I would be the first to buy it. Why did they stop using Kelvar/Aramid/Twaron as part of the fiber mix?

Beginnings (mid 80s) - some aluminium thing, can't remember what
    86-ish - Pro Kennex *something* (can't remember)
87-88 - Rossignol F200 Carbon (the grey one)
    88-90 - Wilson ProStaff 85
90-91 - Prince Original Graphite (small head size)
92-93 - Donnay Pro One Limited Ed (the actual boxy crossection Agassi frame, not the retail version. I worked with the distributor and they were their demo/showcase models which I managed to blag)
    94 - 2010 Wilson ProStaff 85.

...(although had a 12+ year gap from playing from 95)

My brief history with the game and frames

2008: Head MG Raptor OS (terrible recommendation from guy at pro shop, turned out he just needed to move them and I was just starting so dumb me)
    Mid 2008: Babolat APDC x3
Early 2009: Babolat Aero Storm Tour x5
    Fall 2009: Prince Exo3 Rebel 95 x2
April 2010: Head YT Prestige Mid x2

Looking at it now I feel like I have switched entirely too much. But I'm staying with my Prestiges. It is definitely what a racquet is supposed to feel like.

late 1980's-early 90s: Used whatever my older brother handed me down: ProStaff Classics, various Dunlop, Kennex, etc.

My first non-handed down stick ~92-93: Prince Synergy DB 26

1994-2009: Head Pro Tour 280 (picking up a few Euro PT630s as backups along the way, as well as collecting & briefly using various mid to midplus Head frames here and there: prestiges, radicals, xl's). Always fell back to the PT280.

2010: brief stints with KBT & BB11SE, still fell back to PT280 though.
This week: Head Prestige Tour 600
    Next week?: PT280 most likely...

Started playing in circa 1973. I was 5 but even though I started young I am not such a great player.

I was at Thrifty and saw a racquet. I wanted it and told my dad and he bought it for me. That's a Spalding wood of course. It's not a great racquet, I mean it was from Thrifty (now Rite Aid) so how good could it be. My friend Senior Year (1985) broke it. Why were people still using wooden racquets by the mid '80s? I don't know. But I had a couple of "modern" racquets but my female friend used the old wooden racquet. A guy served it to her fast and she hit and the frame cracked. 20 years later I saw the same model wood at a thrift shop to bought it out of nostalgia. After that it's as follows -

Circa 1982 Arthur Ashe II Head raquet. The Delorean of racquets. Have it still but can not find it. Got it for my birthday. I wanted that racquet bad and I remember when my parents gave it to me. Have it in the garage but can not locate it.

Circa 1984 adidas Ivan Lendl. Bought it from a friend for $40. I remember that exact price. It was slightly used. Still have it but can not find it. In the garage.

Estusa Conners model. I think about 1992. Never took to it. Sold it. Like Jimmy Connors but the racquet nah.

Three Wilson Pro Staff Tour Classic 6.6 Jim Couriers. Still have them. One new in box never used. Got these about 1994 and 1995. Used two alternately with different strings up to this year and switched racquets. The new in box not sure where is now but have it in garage somewhere. I still hit now and then with them.

Current Head Microgel Radical MP. Bought from TW earlier this year.

Local store close out purcahse of a Head Microgel Extreme. Don't like it. Can't get used to it.

Also add, I purchased a bunch of classic wood racquets over the year just for nostalgia. Recently got a "Skyline" which is Japanese and has a Arthur Ashe Head head shape but made of wood. Also my dad was a tennis player when he was young. Not pro but the army champ years ago. He also new Pancho Gonzales personally and used to rally with him by Exposition Park in Los Angeles. My dad had many Pancho Gonzales Spalding racquets. I still have a couple.

    What's your racquet history?

I'm a 5.0 - 5.5 teaching pro since for almost 20 years! I don't play tournaments anymore, however I still practice as hard as I can- as any near 40 year old can do! I started playing tennis in the late 70's as a boy. Here's my racquet history... (from what I can remember...)

    1. Wilson T2000
    2. Prince Jr.
    3. Prince Power Pro

    High School in Late 1980's- #1 Singles/Varisty
    4. Prince CTS Graduate
    5. Prince Thunderstick
    6. Wilson FPK
    7. Wilson 6.1 Classic 95

    College NCAA DIV 1
    8. Wilson 6.1 Classic 95

    After College USTA Tournament Play
    9. Wilson 6.1 Classic 95
    10. Dunlop 300 G
    11. Prince TT Warrior Mid
    12. Prince O3 Tour Mid
    13. Wilson PS 85
    14. POG Mid/ 110
    15. Donnay Pro One Intl 95
    16. Babolat PST
    17. Wilson K90
    18. Prince Ozone Tour
    10. Wilson K88

I've suffered elbow problems since I was 15 years old... I think is started with the CTS Graduate/Thunderstick and the Wilson 6.1 classic didn't help! I'm a huge fan of Prince frames, especially the O3/ Ozone Tour line.

I'd love to see other racquet progressions...

    2. Wilson Hyper ProStaff Trance
    3. Wilson nFury (1)
    4. Wilson nFury (2)
    5. Wilson nFury (3)

    7. Wilson [K] six.One Team 95 (1)
    8. Wilson [K] six.One Team 95 (2)
    9. Wilson [K] six.One Team 95 (3)
    10. Head Microgel Radical Midplus
    11. Wilson [K] six.One Team 95 (4)
    12. Wilson [K] six.One Team 95 (5)

So far, the Babolat Pure Storm GT is the best racquet I've ever used in my life. I've been using it for almost a year now, and I love it.

Many frames have come and gone, but the main ones:

    As a teen:
    Emrik Graphite ps85 clone

and getting back into tennis about 3 years ago, the ones ive used more extensively:

    Wilson k90
    ps85
    Becker 11 Mid
    Head Microgel Prestige Mid
    Head Youtek Prestige Pro
    Wilson blx 90
    Vantage 90

    and now Vantage 95

I dont feel any itch to look at other frames now, pretty happy with the Vantage
