I have got 2 tickets for centre court on the Second Friday (Mens semi final day). This is where it pays to be a member of the LTA. It's my third year of going and hope it's as good as last year. (saw Henman v Soderling). Is anybody going to England to see it aswell?

If so I might see you there!

    Cheers Ballmachine,

I'll do my upmost best to write a report for the day, I just hope Ferrero and Henman are still in it by then!

@wright the strawberries and cream are totally overpriced, about $10 each bowl. The Champagne, now we are talking!!!

I hate to outdo you Liam but I've got men's final tickets for Sunday 4 July.

Last year I got mens Q/f and saw 2 hours of Henman getting stuffed by Grosjean plus lots of rain.

Not bad for the public ballot!

    A question...

Every year at Wimbledon they could sell the Centre & No 1 Court tickets for every single day 5 times over.

And when you watch a match on TV, the stands are always packed, even for two crud Russian women players playing pat-a-cake in the first round. When I went in 2002 I had to queue to watch Kratochvil v Stepanek on Court 18!!!

This doesn't happen anywhere else. Even at Roland Garros in supposedly tennis mad France the stands are half full in the early rounds. Monte Carlo is the same, ditto US Open.

At the Nasdaq 100 yesterday the stands were about a third full for Coria v Kiefer, which was the 1/4 final.

    Any ideas?

    Fat Boy,

I think that Wimbledon is always so packed because of it's tradition.
There are a lot of posh people who go and eat their strawberries and cream. Also because it's normally the best weather part of the year so it's a good occasion to go and see possibly Englands greatest tournament.
The football season has also finished so tennis is more interesting to football fans.

    Hope this helps,

    Liam

    Rabbit,

If you want some "grass" then I hear that the "grass" tournament in Amsterdam is the best place.

You hace to be very HIGH in the rankings to play it,

Lower ranked players will go up in SMOKE.
