Igor Andreev and Rafa Nadal is quite similar to eachother with their style of play. Playing with heavy topspin with the "lasso" finish. They both plays with the Babolat Aeropro Drive, but the difference is that Nadal plays with the standard length and Andreev with the plus version.

Why is that? Why doesnt Nadal play with the plus or why doesnt Andreev play with the standard?

    Thanks for any comment!

Andreev has spent the majority of his career playing with the plus length pd. He recently moved to the apd plus. After all those years with his strokes grooved to a plus stick, I would imagine he didn't want to change too many variables.

They hit quite differently, I have both std and plus length in the apd: I prefer the standard.

We could of course talk about Tsonga too... + size APD I believe.

BTW, re Andreev, anyone know some specs or how he mods or whatever?

Andreev's PD + was 339g and 33.3cm balance strung. I would assume he's keep the same setup on the APD.

Julian Benneteau's pd+ has a very similar (almost exact setup)

Andreev is full BBO as well, 57ish IIRC.

Any ideas on where that extra weight may have been on the frame re mods, H?

    Thx
