haha nice find. he couldn't even START the car? thats hilarious.
LOL I thought you meant Nadal couldn't drive the ball... I was thinking whoa Nadal uses lots of topspin but surely he's skilled into to drive... then the article cracked me up.
aiii all those ladies hot after Nadal might wanna wait a sec....
He's only nineteen, is it that surprising? You can't drive until you're eighteen in Spain anyway, and I guess he's been a bit busy with other things
That's what he says. He hasn't been home long enough to take lessons and get his license, but he's thinking of doing it after Shanghai this year. I'm sure he won't want Uncle Toni driving him around forever.
Makes sense, the guy has a busy scheduele, but I've been driving for a long time....
Maybe he cant drive the Benz but he can sure hit forehand drives all day long.
Its going to be fascinating to see Nadal compete at the US OPEN and Shanghai this yr. Hopefully he can have a good run and hold onto the no 2 spot.
Rafa clarified that he was kidding a bit, about not being able to drive. He is sponsored by Kia, and has driven cars in some of their ads before. But not on real roads yet.
He's taking the Mercedes home to Mallorca, so he intends to keep it, and is hoping to get his license soon.
Guess he'll need a garage for his Mercedes and Kia automobiles.
Interesting that in North America getting a driver's licence is a right of passage instead of some personal accomplishment, such as being a profesional tennis player at age 16 in Nadal's case.
It is said he will get his liscence after the masters cup. Otherwise, who cares? Even if he had his license he wouldn't really use it.
Nadal can't drive a car.
Can he f.. girls ?
Such a view/idea appears in my old humble brain as if these young kids have no time for anything else except tennis/training.
So thats nothing ..Moya got his learners an drivers at 18..
Hmmm, a little, ok very strange thing we have here. 19? Can't drive a car or start it without assistance. Its so sad to think his life's focus is purely on tennis and has little knowledge regarding real life matters. Nadal comes across as someone who it would be hard to hold an intelligent conversation with...outside of sports talk. Not that I am leashing him with harsh remarks to be mean spirited. Regardless, his intelligence speaks clearly on the court.
Here's a video of Rafa driving. from earlier this year. Again, he was joking around that he didn't know how to start the car. He seems quite articulate in Spanish interviews. But it's true he doesn't have a license yet. You either focus too much on your tennis career, or not enough, it seems:
mamamia, I thought it was serious! LOL
he certainly has the right priorities.
