Nadal has just reached 3.5 million followers on Twitter, surpassing Serena Williams.

    Their current stats-

    Nadal: 3,531,685 followers (813 tweets, 54 following)
    Serena: 3,329,123 followers (10,899 tweets, 254 following)

On Facebook, Nadal and federer both have close to 12 million likes.

This now makes Nadal the most followed tennis player on Twitter ever (previously Serena led the pack).

12.2m fans for Roger on Facebook vs. 11.4 for Rafaello. Yet according to you, they're both at roughly 12 million? I finally understand why you think Nadal is the GOAT. You just round both of their slam tallies to around a dozen.

You do realize a lot of those Twitter followers are fake accounts, right?

They pull a lot of tricks in order to create more social buzz around celebrities and sports stars. 57% of Kardashian's Twitter followers are fake. 79% of Shakira's followers are also fake. Britney Spearks, Oprah Winfrey and Rihanna roughly have a list of followers of which 75%+ are fake and inactive accounts.

Rafael Nadal is number 4 in the world, and has not held the top ranking since middle of 2011. He also is second best in every department of tennis except this dirty brown crap that people say is a legitimate surface.

OP yet again fails to realise that Federer does NOT have a Twitter account. A bit too desperate at trolling I guess?

I imagine soon enough Nadal will be back and making tweets from his phone between points

"Vamos! no? Just passed Roger again. Now watch him blow a 5-2 lead"

"Just made a challenge but the umpire no see, no?"

"Where shall I serve this time?"

    <from toni's twitter> "Serve out wide Rafa"

    possibilities are endless.

If Fed did this some gems could be

    "SHUT UP!!"

"Why the character limit? I could write my Autobiog in the time it takes nads/nole to serve"

    Delpo could tweet

"Murray... him and his mother always the same"

Murray replies with "What did you say about my mum?"

    They are not!

    I follow him on Twitter.

It is the best place to receive cooking recipes, advice at how to clear stains from linen and at any time there is a course at applied physics going ( Nadal Freak is the lecturer )

Find me a better recipe for fillet of beef Wellington than the one I use (which is based off of Ramsay's recipe) and I'll start using that Twitter thing right away.

11.4 and 12.2 are pretty much the same. They are roughly 12 million. Nadal being #4 in the world and still have as many fans as Federer is remarkable.

Try rounding out the numbers there bud! 11 million for Rafa, 12 million for Fed. Therefore, Fed > Rafa. /Debate

    Useless thread honestly.

Majors that Nadal has withdrawn from:

    2003 French Open (fractured elbow)
2004 French Open (ankle stress fracture)
    2004 Wimbledon (ankle stress fracture)
2006 Australian Open (severe foot injury)
    2009 Wimbledon (knee injury)
    2012 US Open (knee injury)
    2013 Australian Open (stomach virus)

    That's 7 withdrawals from majors.

That 2004 RG withdrawal probably still stings him. He may have even won RG that year.

That's almost a double career slam of them, 2 at every slam except the US Open. Anyone else come close to this?

He could have taken over fed easily in slam count had he not been facing health issues I think, 7 withdrawls from slams wow and still with 11 slams is great honestly.

I said close to 12 million. Nothing wrong with what I said.

Nadal just gained 10,000 Twitter followers overnight. No other tennis-playing Twitter user gained 10,000 followers last night. :p

He would only be among the favorites for the last 3. That gives him at most 3 slams, and that is being generous.
