Quite right. No (at least) two time champion has exited to a 100 ranked player in the second round of a major whilst at his peak - that's fast.

Oh how you must seething :) And to top it off, Rosol goes out in the next round... his work was done, him beating Ralph was his own personal Wimbledon title there and then ;)

Total facepalm. Nadal was 26 when he won his 11th grandslam. Borg was a better 25 year old player.

No, Borg was far more dominant against real competition on surfaces which don't play the same. Nadal faced the weak era champion Federer for most of his slams.

Fed also had 11 slams before turning 26. Rafa got his 11th after turning 26.

Both had the same number of titles overall on their 26th birthday - 49 - but Fed had more weeks at Number 1.

    1. Doesn't win in weeks at #1 category
    2. Doesn't win in GS category
    3. has been ranked #2-#3 in the world for the vast majority of his career. Even in his prime, struggling to stay ahead of a 31 year old for the #2 spot in the world.
    4. Still has never defended a title off of his favorite surface
    5. has a losing record in finals of his second best slam
    6. Still hasn't won a WTF much less multiple WTF's
    7. has shown no dominance anywhere but clay
    8. not a great fast court player, not really a great medium speed court player...yep, it's pretty much clay.

Yep, he's better than Borg, Fed, Laver, et al.

The problem here, is that TDK did not use an oversized font in his original post.

Everyone would be agreeing with him in this thread, if he had simply used a huge oversized font :)

    1- doesn't matter.
2- he does win ....11 slams and won't be 26 till June . He has the USO and AO left . He's also appeared in more gs finals than borg.
    3- doesn't matter . Becker was never year end #1 .
4- yes he has defended a title. He won Wimbledon twice.
5- who cares....Borg never won the AO or USO.
6- no one cares about WTF except fed fans .
7 Borg has never shown dominance on HC ...whereas Nadal has been I believe in every final last year.
    8. Nadal can only play on the slams surfaces he is given . 2 wimbys, AO, USO and I don't even know how many finals facing the likes of Fed and Joker.

You should have quit while you had a chance....everyone was just about to agree with you once you used the large fonts....but sigh....you had to continue on with weak and/or inaccurate arguments...

(Hint...it is June, and Rafa is already 26...and was 26 before winning RG, at least in most of the world...perhaps you're in a different time zone, where June 3 hasn't happened yet ).

    Epic...epic fail.

It's June 30th...3 full weeks past Rafa's 26th Birthday, which happened before the conclusion of Roland Garros. So... he has 11 majors at 26, but only 10 at 25.

    LOL.

No, Lawrence Bragg was the greatest 25 year old of all time. He won a Nobel in Physics, and actually contributed something significant to science. What the hell has Nadal done that compares to that?

OK, if that is the context, then I nominate Alexander the Great....clearly more impressive at 25 than Fed, Laver, Sampras, Borg, and Nadal rolled into one.

How can I be sure that the OP was talking about tennis? He made an idiotic blanket statement about Nadal being the best 25 year old of all time. I felt inclined to correct that notion, as winning a Nobel in the sciences is >>>> any tennis (or sport) achievement.

    Yup, exactly.

Ummm.... going by the solar calendar you must surely be an extraterrestial? Which planet are you living on? June is almost at an end and Nadal turned 26 during the French Open before winning his 11th major. Federer is the only player to have won 11 majors by age 25.

My dearest TDK, I'm afraid your sheer idiocy on display here is utterly irredeemable.

1 - Shows a dominance over the rest of the field (i.e. does matter)
    2 - He was 26 before he won RG2012
3 - Who said Becker was in this conversation?
4 - No, he didn't win Wimbledon in two consecutive years (i.e. defending). You don't even know the meaning of the word "defend", seemingly.
5 - Who said Borg was in this conversation?
6 - Correction: Nadal fans don't care about WTF because Nadal has never won it. Every past all-time great has won it and valued it as just below the slams.
7 - Where is Nadal's dominance on HCs? Showing up at just the slams does not reflect dominance on a single surface.
8 - Actually, you made sense here

Nadal the greatest 25? jajaja.A certain Bjorn Borg had won 3 indoor majors when he retired at 25 ( plus 11 GS titles)...while Nadal can´t even smell a win indoors.

Yeah but Nadal is 8-2 at slams and Beats Fed at just about every slam. So to say he is better than Nadal is insane.
