Now that were in the middle of clay court season and there is a lot of Nadal on TV, I wish he would change brands of underwear so he stops that annoying habit of picking his crack between points. What is even more annoying is after the pick he will rub his nose like he's taking a whiff. Ugh! He can't blame it on the capri pants because he had the same problem last year.

Yeah, It's a bit annoying to see him de-wedgie himself all the time... wish he'd get some looser pants as well.

Again, it's not his pants. It's something he's done since he was little. His father says it's a "nervous habit," where Rafa just says, "It is something that I’ve been doing since I was small. But it does not guarantee me victories."

Ya just a nervous habit, it may give him a bit of good luck. At least it's working this season. I don't find it annoying, it's kind of a habit of mine also.

I always thought Pete wiping his brow with his sweat was gross, too. But we got used to it.

And Pat Rafter used to always do this nose thing that wasn't particularly attractive.

They all have their quirks, and this is Rafa's. I'd rather have him show his nervousness by picking at his pants than in missing his shots.

I think it's a habit that won't die a quick death. He's been doing it too long.

At least he's stopped drinking water and spitting it out. That's what he did in the first few tapes I saw of him back in 2003. As one British commentator said, at the time, rather drily, "He has a few rather unattractive habits."

Obviously, NoBadMojo, you haven't read Sports Illustrated item on the claycourt stud, with his stylish pants.

There's a reason we have this question answered in our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) part of of VR.com. *lol*

I can't tell you how many e-mails I get from people asking me to tell Rafa to stop doing that. Sorry, but I'm going to let you all tell him. *lol*

Hhahahaha....Nadal's habbit is picking his butt cracks? If that is a nervous habbit, imagine if he won a grandslam and doing a speech under 1000s of people. I can see one hand holding the trophy and the other hand deep inside his butt crack :) God knows what he pulls out of there ;) Perhaps Jimmy Hoffa?

OK Susan, I know you are infatuated with Nadal, and he is one heck of a tennis player, but show me a guy who is straight and wears freaking capri pants.

Yep, Rafa's started the trend. I actually want a pair for playing, no kidding. Are they comfortable to play in though? Maybe there's some feedback on the main site.

Hhahahha...I remember that. In fact, he once wore just the spandex while practicing without a shirt on. OMG the fashion of th late 80s and early 90s were so bright. Remember the mullet also? ;)

When I first picked up tennis my brother bought me an instructional tape. A Aggasi and Bolliteri collaboration. All spandex all the time in the video. It is pretty funny.

Where to buy the pirates pants is also on our Frequently Asked Questions page. Answer: Tennis Warehouse. I wonder how many they have sold? *lol*

I also get a lot of inquiries from Europe regarding them.

I'm thinking about investing in capris, but they only have the plain black ones in the UK. I dont think Capris, make one look ***. They are cool looking providing you wear them for tennis and not going out.

Poor Nadal, hes not alone in this. Have any of you noticed that Hewitt also has this thing of unpicking his "atomic wedgie" in between points along with his fixations to his necklace, hat, hair etc etc etc....it's definetly a nervous habit

I'd rather watch the Rafa "wedgie-pull" over the Agassi "snot-rocket" any day. And cut the guy some slack----the guy has a pretty big butt (not that I am looking at it---and not that there is anything wrong with that).....but the bigger the butt the more wedgies....at least that seems to be my experience.

Hmmm. He does have the pirate look going. I think he can wear it and look very masculine in the process. Go for it!

In fact, he and Rafa could make wearing shorts look sissy. What do you think???

Real guys wear almost-pants on court. And they would wear full pants, except it would be too hot???

Now, that needs to be the discussion of a whole different thread. That's a soccer habit. *lol* He's got one tick because of tennis and another because of soccer.

One uncle is a tennis pro, the other is a soccer pro. So he develops bad habits from both of them (and maybe some good ones, too *lol*).

Nah!!!! I think I will pass up the capri shorts. But, I do wear long shorts when I play tennis. I wear long basketball type shorts that are just above my knees.
