He's been in trouble off of clay since 2009 (his first long term injury break). Before the 2009 injury break, it had looked like he might even start to dominate hard court. He won Canada 2008, Olympics 2008, AO 2009, IW 2009, and I was "wow, here comes the hard court beast, clay specialist my foot!!!" Then his body fell apart. Then it took him until USO 2010 to win another title on hard and that was after a spectacular serve transformation that he couldn't maintain afterwards. His Tokyo 2010 win was vs a pretty weak field (Monfils in the final). After that, he often seemed to come close but somehow fell short at the finish line, which was damn frustrating: against Fed at WTF 2010, against Djoko throughout 2011 and at AO 2012 (so often it must have been a true psy nightmare for poor Rafa) and vs Murray in Tokyo 2011. And that was in the best case scenario: when it was actually close, because he also had some counter perf vs lesser players. OK, why am I telling all this? Because I don't think that all those struggles had much impact on his clay perf and confidence. He still won RG in 2011, he still kicked ass on clay in 2012. I don't think anything will change in 2013 (unless his knees refuse to recover and he has to call it a day).

Why even to reply to that troll?. He's not serious, that much is obvious.

Lol, there are many different rumours and he sends some, let's say, mixed signals, so I don't think we can know whether he sleeps around, is a virgin, gay, whatever. I at least don't particularly care either.

About him being sick, I think some viruses stick in your system, and strike from time to time?, I do hope it's not the case.

Hey, what did I miss here? Your original post must have been deleted. What did you say about Nadal and what is this gossip about other players you have and where did you get this gossip from? Come on, don't hold out! :)

I don't think they have been deleted(could have been though). They are just back several pages.

There is all kinds of good stuff about these guys floating around out there. Did you hear about the latest scandal with Delpo? I guess he's the only one who would ever take advantage of his status to have sex. Nadal would never, ever do that. Lol.

Yeah, I know. I think Ms. Nadal is another one of Bullzilla's accounts.

You think he's gay, but the stuff floating around about him out there is about women. No men to be found(that we know of).

Mono is a virus that never truly goes away that can flare up from time to time again if your immune system is down. Chicken pox is another one, or anything in the herpes family.

It's true. He does nothing for me but he was messing with some ska*k behind his girlfriend's back. The ska*k recorded him on her phone talking about their latest conquest, and released the audio to the press. His girlfriend had already forgiven him numerous times for cheating but this time she dumped him. They were together for 3 years.

I only went back a few pages and did not see it. Can you tell me what page it is on, I don't have the patience to go back more. Too tired.

Re Del Potro, I did see on Twitter that there was supposedly some phone sex tape. I did not read that his gf dumped him though, good for her if true.

so hard to gt away with it these days

Hope he hasn't thrown away a good thing, 3 years is a long time for someone as young as him but probably not something that was going to last anyway.

but look at the size of him, he has to be packing a big gun

Size has to matter to some ladies? Though I don't claim to understand what women want

The ska*k is a hideous, greasy mess. The girlfriend is much prettier than her. I know most men are controlled by their second brain, but why is it when men cheat they do it with the nastiest looking creatures they could find at the time? It's puzzling.

When did I ever say Nadal was going to win the AO on this forum? I said he would probably get to the QF or SF easily and I still believe that had he played he would have made it to the QF or SF.

If you don't like my posts, don't read them, very simple. I am not here to please you.

Well, I just searched for stuff regarding this story and apparently she freaked out seeing him in the shower because of his huge.... body. Yes, that's what she said. She clarified that "it" was normal. So sorry to any size queens, male or female, out there.

I think men cheat with women who are less attractive than their girlfriends because either they just want to have sex (just physical) and/or the good-looking girlfriend isn't making them feel wanted enough (in their eyes) so they go looking for affection from someone who makes them feel desirable and sexy. And I think the woman with Del Potro is disgusting but I think a lot of guys fantasize about sleeping with all-out *****y-looking women like her... obviously only to sleep with on the side and not enough to be in an actual public relationship with...

If anyone wants to listen to the leaked audio recording, it's here... I guess she won't be seeing DelPo too much anymore!!

Hadn't heard about the Delpo story... I do find him good looking enough, I must say.

    Lol, yeah, like that one.

Maybe. NSK still seems more to me like some crazy fan, but lately I've thought maybe he really is just a troll.

I don't think he's guy, I just think he might be. I myself never hear any rumours either way. You've got to admit his comment in that 2007 interview about sex was not exactly indicative of someone much interested in sex... anyway, I don't think there's much to indicate anything conclusive :).

Interesting. I hope he doesn't have any of those kinds of viruses.

That interview was done in 2006 and released in 2007. He was still pretty young then so I wouldn't read too much into it.

I hope he doesn't have mono, either. But I must admit it crossed my mind a lot last year that he may have had it because he had some of the symptoms of it. The immense sweating was one that really stood out to me. Nadal sweats a lot but he was drenched no sooner than he hit the court. He also talked about being tired all the time which is something he never said before. I do think something is wrong with him, but they will never tell us what it is.

I remember seeing that post, about the time you were saying that Rafa had no knee issues and that it is all a conspiracy , this was before his withdrawal... anyways, will take your word for it and take back what I said.

I don't read most of your posts, when it veers to repeating the same stuff... ad nauseam .

I don't think Rafa does have any serious knee injury so you are correct about that and that is why I said if he did enter the AO he would have reached the QF or SF.

A lot of truth in your post, but I'm not sure that I agree completely. You are right that his body has started to fall apart at that time and we've seen since then a lot of curious matches. Coming short at the finishing line is something else. It's more that there was too much density at the top of the game for him on hard courts. It was one of those strange moments in tennis where the top guys seem to be unable to lose at the biggest events, except against each other. He was good enough to win the WTF, but one Murray at his best in the SF and one Federer at his best in the final is a little bit too much for him, especially indoors. Then comes the Djokovic series. It's not enough to beat Federer or Murray in the SF (and on some occasion, a huge Berdych who would have beaten almost anyone else before), there is still a Djokovic playing out of his mind, refusing to lose (how many desperate situations did he turn back in his favor?). In those conditions, it's really tough to win when you have the less hard court orientated game.
It didn't affect him on clay? Are you sure? He actually played 3 very bad matches vs Djokovic and those matches were not the ones played on HC (it was a honest/good Rafael Nadal there), but the ones played on clay and grass.
Ok, he still won Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Roland-Garros, but I've seen him play better (euphemism). I agree that he has a lot of margin on clay where a very bad Nadal still wins most of his matches. But the margin is not unlimited either.
We've seen him lack something many times in the latest years. It's the backhand, it's the serve. And I think it's the result of not being able to practice as much as he would like to. He always has to stop because of an injury or an illness. On clay, his skills are such that he can outmanoeuvre his opponents and conceal the flaws, but only within some limits.

First of all, I was not reacting to your old posts. I vaguely remembered you had talked about that some time ago, but I had skipped most of the discussion at that time since it didn't interest me.
My post that you quote here was a reaction to Ms Nadal's post taking those gossips so seriously ("How could I like him after having read that?" ) Given the circumstances, I was bewildered. There are other things to cry on concerning Nadal than some gossips about what he does with his Mr johnson.
And by the way, could I have a link (by PM if necessary)? Yesterday, I read the rumours that appeared on this thread about Del Potro, but I have seen no link about Nadal and I still don't know what makes posters whine about that instead of his new withdrawal and its consequences.

I don't see him as a virginal saint, I don't see him as a serial lover, I don't think that he has a fake girlfriend as a cover, I don't think he's gay and I don't think anything at all. First of all because I'm the last one to believe all the sexual fantasies that people love to project on famous people, and we all know how much a guy like Rafael Nadal attracts those fantasies.
Between the romantic girl who wants to believe that he's a virginal saint waiting for her (fake gf, no one-night stands), the one who wants to see him as a wild sex beast, the people of the gay community who would love to believe that everyone (especially the very beautiful specimen like Nadal) is at least bisexual and the ones who simply love to gossip or destroy, you have the choice.
Personally, I don't believe anything. I know that he has a gf, and I don't see any reason to doubt it. The degree of faithfulness? I don't know. He does what he wants. That's not my problem. But I would like to know what makes people talk so much. Could I have a link, please?

Lol, I guess you haven't seen her constant posts about the "silent ban".

I agree with you he most likely hasn't been able to practice as much as he'd like, that must hurt his game.

I've read some posts, but she didn't "name" it, and I didn't want to waste my time reading all the posts written written by those pigs using a player's injuries against him. I only feel contempt for that kind of people.
I don't understand how some tennis fans can be dumb enough to believe in that theory. Even if you want to believe in the "silent bans", it's clear that a player would clearly announce that he would be out of the game for six months or more instead of announcing a come back just to delay it all the time.
It's not difficult to understand that the recovery took more time that he had initially thought and that he's still very hesitant on his knees. With a gastro-enteritis weakening his body, it would be too dangerous to come back now.

Agree with you. Life's too short really.

Of course what you say is the much, much more logical explanation, but that doesn't matter to some people. Or maybe they can't even tell.

    What do you guys expect.

He lies about injuries all the time.

He also retires from matches when the opponent is playing "too good" (A010 Murray) as to not let them win "fair and square".

He then blames the surface for losing when Verdasco just plays too good (Madrid 2012).

Finally when he does get beat, fair and square, he disappears for 8 months claiming his knees are injured. (Rosol)

How can anyone look up to this guy?

    ^^^^^^^^

And right there we have an example of what we were talking about.

Dear wy2sl0, you have NO idea what you're talking about. You cannot possibly know whether he lies about injuries, whether he's pretending to be injured because he lost to a low ranked player (lol). Whether he retires from matches because the opponent is playing too good (which is completely absurd, since there are many matches where the opponent was playing great and he didn't retire, like all the three slam finals he lost against Djokovic, but don't let facts get in your way, please).

You just make those assumptions because you (to put it mildly) don't like him.

Agreed. wy2sl0 is so clueless he can't even get the year right that Nadal lost to Hot Sauce in Madrid. He has no idea at all what he's talking about.

Well, I wonder what gave you that impression? :)

He is a habitual complainer. Surfaces, conditions, gamesmanship. As I said, why would I like him? For people who actually like tennis for tennis, it is beyond me how you could look up to him as a role model for the game.

PS. I obviously meant this year on the blue clay, get lost Clark.

He's not such a habitual complainer. He says what he thinks about these things, and it gets a lot of press because of who he is. And why would hc specialists complain about the surfaces? (Fed somehow still does sometimes, but I guess that's ok).

Rafa was complaining about the playing conditions of the blue clay way before he lost. As were many other players. So you just cannot logically say he said that because he lost.

What is beyond me is how people who like tennis for tennis would not look up to him as a model for the game.
