Dilletante is from Spain, Valencia IIRC.

Wow, sounds nice that you are moving to Spain. Is it work, or moving with parents -- if you don't mind my asking.

Why not start a thread in the OE section. Seriously.

why can't he pose like this with Xisca? Gosh they're so annoying. Even at events players party she stays on the sidelines while he poses. If someone can get a proper pic of them posing together at an event (not one where they're caught off guard) that will be the money shot.

I'm sure he has plenty of these with Xisca, they are just a really private couple.

He looks like such a cutie here.

Sure but i'm talking about like on the carpets or events like Roger/Mirka, Novak/Elena and the list goes on.posing together at a public event isn't asking for every detail of their relationship.

I thought I read somewhere (maybe on this thread??) that Xisca is trying to build her own life in Mallorca and doesn't want to be a celeb. She just got an internship or job after college w/out the person hiring her knowing about her relationship and she liked that. The more public posing she does the less likely that becomes.

Yeah having her picture taken with him at carpets will raise her profile but pics of them in Cuore mags, and her name mentioned in Spanish articles won't. :p
She won't be a celeb just for pausing with him. Other fan bases get their players pictures like that why can't we.:(

You are right. in that sense. She does hide in the back a lot. I mean doesn't seem like Rafa makes much of an effort to bring her forward either. She was there next to him in the USO pics! It would have been cute to have a pic with just the two of them though!

look at those wouldn't it be lovely? Xisca (and co) needs to get over herself. Her life is not going to blow up if more people know who she is. Majority of tennis goers know of her anyway, they've seen her on the screen.
Rafa i'm waiting. With your arm around her, not in between the two of you as if you're pushing her away. :(

If she goes to wtf, the players box is close to the court. I wonder if he'll go to his box hug and kiss everyone including her if he wins

    meg0529 Guest

Lol, I dunno. I always wonder what would have happened if she had been there in Wimby 08. He ran up to his box then. But no Xisca :( I dunno, I mean if he doesn't do it at the end of the YEC, he will never do it. Cuz then he pretty much has it all. After that it will just be yet another GS. Maybe if he completes a calendar GS. But I doubt it!

Mm, interesting! He probably wouldn't have kissed her. When they're all together she seems the less important of his group. (only seems but probably isn't). I have to stop analyzing this relationship, it's driving me up the wall.

federer had remarked way back in 2005 that both wimbledon and USO had been slowed down ( Wimbledon to a greater extent )

this was before nadal was a force on either of these. Now you nadal fans need to stop being insecure

Its really sad that some people take the time out to fish out remarks like this, put them together, bring Nadal into the picture and try to make Roger look bad.

No doubt Rogi is a sore loser. But his remarks of courts slowing down are pretty general -- not pointed to Nadal only.

Sometimes a specific question is asked, when Roger answers, the answer is taken out of context to make him look bad.

I think Roger and Rafa are above this pettiness, and we should also be (I mean the author of that article) not the person quoting it here.

But when Federer talks the slow courts now he mentions Rafa and says things like "I am sure it helps Rafa." He didn't have to say that. Either he doesn't have class or he's just really dumb.

Read any of Federer's slam exit press conferences and you get a lot worse than "I am sure it helps Rafa." lol

I guess both, since all the intelligence and class is here on our forum. And please lets keep this thread on Nadal, not yet another Fed-bashing thread.

There are a bunch of positive, nice Nadal fans on the forum (finally!), please learn from them.

Actually Federer said in that interview that the slowness helped both him and Rafa. They only included the part about it helping Rafa, though, in that post.

Yes, he can be a grouch after he loses, but during the USO(since that is the topic of the article) I don't remember him saying anything of this sort. I can vouch for the fact that he was saying that about Wimby. After he lost to Djoker he even said, hope he wins. This article cites not sources, give one lousy quote, but no links to back it up.

I remember back in 2005 Roger said "I'm a terrible loser." Everyone has their faults and he seems to be a decent person so lets not make too much out of 1 quote.

On the other hand (though it is not Federer's fault) I cannot understand why some people treat him like a god and the writer of that religious experience article even committed suicide after Nadal made the SF at the US Open!!

Sorry everyone. This is what happens when you get an alert, don't have time to read it and just post it based on the title and skimming through quickly.:oops: I still haven't read everything yet. There is no dout Roger can be and has been a sore loser, but the facts for these two particular slow and fast comments I have to read again.

In the meantime some rafa porn

Has it ever occured to you that Federer is the one who is insecure? Or is he for you someone who does not make misstakes?
