Its really interesting that Rafa loves Majorca so much because when I visited Monacar where his family lives (may have spelled it wrong) it isn't very appealing at all. However he does have houses in other parts of the island which is beautiful. Considering the millions of tourists who visit the island every year he must also be very generous to share his sacred place with so many peop. He must be a people lover!!

That is a dream of course. I don't want to think about it too much because I don't want to jinx it. I'll take it 1 match at a time like Rafa :)

Ah sure! Just in case, we'll have to not only tape them but treasure them and keep them engraved in our memory...

WHAHA Rafa would have had a quick flashback to his youth when he saw that racquet. Should put that moment in the Rafa cinematic biopic and have a flashback when he's signing it :D

And it looks like that pillar in the background says DREAMS COME TRUE

An interview with Marc Lopez, more half the questions are about Rafa. Google translated.

Marc López: "Being among the best is an award I'm enjoying"

    He's such a sweetie

What a delightful interview from Marc! Glad he thinks Rafa is in good shape for the AO and he is about as superstitious as I am

THis seems kind of a girlish topic. How's Nadal doing? Has he recovered yet?

Ha ha he changed his mind because in 2009 he said it was probably the end of the Fed-Nadal era (oops)

Nadal should be ready for AO. After his double match in Doha, he has over one week to recover from his self-proclaimed fever. That’s plenty of time to rest and fully heal. There shouldn’t be complaint about his fitness by the time the AO start.

Keep in mind Federer had a sinus during his early round in 2007 AO, but fought his way through.

Can't imagine why I would want to keep that information in mind, but since you seem to be the font of all knowledge when it comes to Federer, could you clarify? Was it a Pilonidal Sinus?

Nadal won't know whether he's recovered until he plays a 5 set match and someone runs him ragged. It all seems fine in general or in practice. He was also ok against Gulbis, but Davydenko really exposed his fitness. Ideally, Nadal should have retired against Lacko, when he was bageled. Now, by overplaying in Doha, he's hasn't achieved anything but SERIOUSLY jeopardized his chances to do something that no one has done since Laver.

The worrying thing for Nadal is that sweating, loss of energy in a match usually indicates something serious. It takes weeks, not days to recover. At the top level, the margins are very small. A performance drop of even 5% would mean that any Top 20 player could beat you. We saw what Mono did to Fed, and it seemed like he was recovered, but he was NOT REALLY recovered until almost 6 months, and that cost Federer at least 2 grandslam majors. Furthermore, given that Fed's game is MUCH less physical than Nadal's, it could be worse for the Spaniard.

Anyway, it seems the concept of losing the battle to win the war is lost on Nadal. It's not his tennis, but that, which has been the biggest roadblock in his career.

Don’t remember exactly but Fed was experienced cold symptoms from catching a cold. It was at the beginning of 1st week but he gradually recovered day by day. I don’t think it’s as serious as rafa but the point is if Fed can handle it, sure Rafa can handle it too. But we are expecting him to completely recovered next week...I’m sure his team are on top of that.

Rafa needed to play all the matches at Doha in order to feel that he's had enough recent match practice (that's for the mind) and now he's fully recovered from the flu. If he didn't play those matches at Doha he wouldn't have been mentally ready for the AO. Don't worry, Rafa is a lot wiser than you.

He could also have skipped both single and double in Doha to rest. After his recovery, he can play Kooyong. then he can continue to practice in Melbourne to get use to the surface.

Doubles is always a good thing, for tactical development. Kooyong is scheduled too close to the AO, not a good idea.

Top seeded players have played kooyong, so they should know better. And it’s close to Melbourne.

It's scheduled too close to the AO. I don't recall Rafa playing matches in the days just before the commencement of a slam. Kooyong doesn't sound like his thing at all.

Shakira has some of most hideous vocals I have ever heard. That song "gypsy" sounded like a bear yodeling.

Shakira is a better singer than the popular vocalists in pop music such as Rihanna, Fergie, Katty Perry etc.

Fergie isn't even audible live, I was there. Rihanna not sure, haven't heard her live. Perry, poor singer anywhere. Studio recording, Shakira is way better than all of them in my opinion.

I only disapproved of Rafa's clothing because I wouldn't wear what Rafa is wearing, I don't like wearing tight bright colors. I can't judge female clothing whereas. I think anything looks good on a good female. Plus I'm not judging it from the perspective of me wearing it obviously. I'm judging the female clothing from the perspective of me looking down it etc.
