I would agree, pending the draw.

I agree. Rafa is the favourite. But he's far from a lock.

Deep down, I want a Soderling-Del Potro final as I think these are the only real men in tennis right now.

well. I guess that if McEnroe predicted this is pretty much set in stone now, they shouldn't even bother playing the whole thing...

He's got it covered: 10 packages of golden threaded kleenexes to match the purse.

A lot depends on the draw. If Nadal lands Murray in his quarter, it might be an uphill battle for him. In other scenarios, assuming he's fit, he's got a great shot.

Delpo has game. He's just been out for so long, the only lastin impression hes made was that flat tire sounding bomb of a forehand from the USO final.

When hes back, you will be refreshed as to how he is more than a ball basher.

Soderling on the otherhand... I agree. Still fun to watch when hes on.

Rafa is not a lock. Remember, Fed is looking great and has won 4 of the last 5 events he played, and nearly reached a final in the 5th. If Fed recovers his GS form, we could very well see him going strong. Murray's in there too, although not a big favorite this time, and Soderling can still be a tough opponent to just about everyone else. Add Djokovic, Davy, Berdych and DP (hopefully playing well) to the mix and hopefully some interesting matches are on the way.

Right now if I had to put money on it, it'd be Nadal, simply because he probably wants 4 in a row so badly. But Fed could very well ruin his party just like at the WTF.

on espn.com, pmac is only one of nine commentators/writers asked to pick a favorite. of those nine, 3 picked nadal, 3 picked federer, and 3 picked djoker.

What is sure is that Nadal is gonna play with the most pressure he's ever had on his shoulders. If he can handle it, he'll be immune to it forever, as pressure will never be higher.

Kleenexes for injuries? Oh I see what you mean: nose bleeding from excessive crying. But that wouldn't be Rafa, right?

    Nadal predicted to win AO

That's really going out on a limb considering he's only won the last 3 slams consecutively breezing through most matches.

Rafa is definitely the favorite but surprises can happen. Every run must end and there is a reason no one has held all 4 at once since 1969. This is after all the first major of the year and the one with the highest number of surprise winners. I think Federer can win but he seems to struggle against Rafa in the majors.

No Ive heard he a puts in a "Random excuse" generator for Rafa so if he ever goes down by a set or two in a match he can use it for coming up with a reason to call a medical timeout :)

Well, unless he wins the AO, the goes on to win French and Wimbly. When he plays the USO, THAT will be pressure

Davydenko is just miserable in slams. I never bother following him there. He does 3-setters, and that's about it.

Judging by what a weak player he is (he actually dropped one entire set in the USO did he not), he really needs help in winning the next 10 or 15.
    :)
I am totally confuzed meself ! I can't do this to myself much longer. he stole my sig, so i kicked back. that haggis freak !

You forgot to add that McEnroe said this right after licking a life size glossy photo of a bare chested Nadal, and holding onto a life size bust of Nadal's butt.

Yes, McEnroe officially came out last year, claiming his man love for Nadal. So of course he would pick Nadal. Unless he meant to say, "I would pick Nadal's butt for him during matches, if he would let me!"
