Do you remember how long it took? It was not an easy job for Nadal as the majority of matches went deuce. No-one expects Soderling to win, but if Nadal has an off day and Soderling an on-day it could get interesting for a set or two.

That's where you are seriously wrong. If you watched the last match between them he got totally outmaneuvered in every point.

That is correct. You even got the score right.;-), LOL....

Well, exactly what I think, too. Soderling serves big and hides his suspect movement remarkable well, but Rafa will expose that in ways Ferru could not.
I think Robin will be too busy running and lunging to mock the underwear tug.

    Vamos Rafa!

C'mon man, it'll be Nadal in straights here. No way Soderling has it in him to take a set from Rafa.

I realllly doubt Soderling can do anything, given Rafa plays the way he did yesterday.

Yeah, most likely Rafa will win in straight sets, Robin doesnt come near him in that way. He is way to weak mentally.
As the only swedish hope on the field tho, i hope he performs the game of the century and wins ;)

Didn't a lot of the games in that match go to deuce? I recall it being a pretty close match for a breadstick, bagel. Don't think it will be so one-sided here at RG.

Nadal could easily punish Soderling in 3. No doubt.

...you are most probably right, I guess it will be Nadal in 3 sets...

But I doubt that it will be _that_ easy for Rafa like most people are suggesting. In their previous meeting, Nadal was never close to loosing or so, but remember that it took 1h and 24 minutes for those few games, and Nadal had to save a handful of break points...and, once again - Robin lost his head (and then his game) after a (very) bad (not that it matters) call...

Judging from his clay court defeats of Ferrer of yesterday, and Gilles Simon and Rainer Schuettler (6-0, 6-0) from previous week, and from that Robin is actually maturing at least somewhat under the coaching of the former decent (Roland Garros finalist in 2000) clay courter Magnus Norman, quite a few people on these boards may become a little surprised. I beleive Rafa will have to work _hard_ tomorrow...

But, no way Rafa looses, and if Robin win _a set_ then he has had a very good day at the office... :)

After what he tried to pull there, his head is not the only thing he lost, he lost any semblance of shame too.

That was the ole Jedi Mind Trick by Soderling. LOL. But the crazy thing about all of that is that Hawkeye showed the ball to indeed be out. LOL.

Nadal was going to serve at 4-3 down in the fifth, then Soderling went to change his raquet, which annoyed Nadal, so Soderling pulled at his shorts to say "well you take your sweet f'ing time between points to quit complaining", which angered Nadal a lot.

Well it was the time he kept immitating Nadal and it was a very hostile environment during that match. However Nadal has beaten him since then. It makes me wonder thought that if Nadal does have a dislike for a player I think his game now reflects this and he takes no prisoners

i think this will be a demolition. nadal out to prove a point he is the best on clay ever. soderling will not get more than 6-7 games.

i think nadal's backhand is becoming more devastating than the forehand and federer better watch out on faster surfaces for this new weapon. he can hit it much flatter and faster and go for winners when pulled out of court, utilising open stance, very unique.

Thats about right. Nadal's loss to Fed was a fluke. He is now back in normal form and will go all the way, no?

Aak, TTC website is not streaming this one. I'll have to go see if ESPN360 is. Otherwise, I'll be mighty unhappy that I have to seek a crappy stream.

Nope, no coverage. Guess NBC has the rights. Dang it.
