I liked Fed during the AO final. He was in fine form then. Now it's just pathetic for Roger on clay. He has no feel for the surface, the bounces are not true enough.

I wouldn't think for one second that Nadal just steamrolls from beginning to end.

for those of you that are hoping for a good match, or fed to win, just remember that fed also killed Nadal 6-1 in the first set at the last year FO. The game of tennis is about momentum anyway, it could swing to either players. Stop giving up, you just let everybody knows that you are not a tennis player yourself.

Words to live by. Things aren't as cut and dried. There's still more tennis to be played.

Time for Fed to guts it out without a big serve, Hewitt style.

Nadal takes the first set 6-2. I think Fed needs to do a little thinking during the changeoever.

From the looks of this set maybe Monte Carlo has better tennis from Fed instead.

What happened to the Federer from the 2006 Rome final.

  22. Man Mirka looks not too happy. She also has a giant rock on her finger also. I wonder if they are engaged, but it's just not public?

i think fed does have technical defects in his strokes and styles. it's hard to pump himself up when his body just can't produce.

yawn. i guess i could just pop in a tape of every other time these two have played on clay. i'm not seeing anything new here. guess you gotta give fed props for being SO determined to lose . . . in the same way . . . every time. is that determination? or insanity?

i'd rather see him chipping and charging on every ball, kamikazee style. even if he lost, i'd give him credit for trying a new approach. plus, the fans might be entertained.

That was a Fed that will probably never show up on clay again. Once in a lifetime moment for him on clay. U know what I mean? Perhaps Fed can't approach that level on clay again.

A very bad netting of a smash by Federer and throws the chance away.

    He won't stop Nadal today.

  45. Well from the few games I've seen Federer seems like he is losing it, not Nadal winning it. Some ugly tennis on both sides.

Federer's managing to up his service percentage, but its still not enough to stop Nadal. 15-40.
