And yes, Gonzo is really getting murdered out there. He needs to find a way to construct points so that he can use that devastating forehand of his more often. At the moment, Nadal is only having to pick on Gonzo's backhand to elicit an error.

    Another break from Nadal

This is a practice match for Nadal. Gonzalez will be hurt for a long time after this one.

cheers (polls arn't always correct). 2 is enough for Gonzo, I still remember the poor guy gasping for air after just a few long rallys versus Fed at the AO.

And Gonzo holds to make it 2-3 in the second set. Another break now and we might have a real final in our hands.

A bit of a let down from Nadal a couple of UE's, but I don't think Gonzo can make a comeback - Nadal will focus on his own serves and win this match 6:2 6:4 He should have converted one of his 3 GP on his service game

I had no idea that Gisela Dulko and Gonzo were a Item. She looks really hot sitting next to stephanki.

Clay court tennis is such a boring joke these days. I am glad they are getting rid of 2 of the 3 clay court events making only 1 for next season. They should try and eliminate the clay court season as much as possible unless some guys start beating Nadal.

In the same sense all the hard court tennis events should be eliminated unless some guys start beating Federer. Yeah it makes no sense so the clay events will not vanish.

Nadal does not even celebrate anymore

He just raised his hands to the air, smiled and walked to his seat. It won't be long before he gets bored of dominating everyone on clay until a worthy competitor arrives.

Can someone say woodshed? Nadal v Youzhny 6-2, 6-2, Nadal v Djokovic 6-2, 6-3, Nadal v Gonzo 6-2, 6-2. Only Davy gave the challenge Fed wished he could this year.

Forget my question 6-2 6-2, I guess Gonzo wasnt hitting many winners. I picked Nadal in straights, im not sure how my name appeared in the 'Gonzo in straights' list.

Federer is challenged and loses sometimes on hard courts. Nadal's dominance on clay is incredibly boring. The whole clay court season is a big waste and snooze, and I am glad the clay court season is being diminished by reducing from 3 Masters events to 1 next season.

I am not a Federer fan. I am mostly a fan of the WTA and Navratilova is my all time favorite player. It annoys me there is so much mens tennis on TV these days instead of womens, when the womens game is far superior. The clay court season is the worst part of the year in mens tennis, even though the rest is pretty bad, yet when you want to watch tennis on TV they are still on here in North America. I wish I lived in Europe.

    Let me see:

    1)actually being competitive.
    2)more interesting games.
    3)real personalities(eg-the Williams)
    4)actually rivalries.
5)actually being competitive on each surface.

How I would have loved to have seen what was probably the super exciting Kuznetsova-Henin final on TV today, rather then another continuation of the boring Nadal clay court season. Like I said I wish I lived in Europe so I could have seen the former.

That sounds like federerfanatic to me. Saying outrageous things. Graf far from not being the women´s GOAT and lines like those he uses.

So federerfanatic, if you like the WTA more than post in the Women´s tennis forum, why do you post in here? Makes no sense. I wouldn´t be posting in the WTA forum since I can´t stand watching women´s tennis.

Simply awsome, simply awsome, nice music, chariots of Fire during trophy presentation. Rafa and his parents were crying. This is it, just give rafa the French open now and Federer should throw the Wimbledon to rafa and next year, rafa will throw the french open, federer's way.

I agree that this year is a lost cause for Fed at the french open but i think next year he will be back stronger than ever, armed with a new coach and i think Fed will try a new muscle build up regimen. I believe Fed will try to muscle up like Rafa, if you can't beat him, try to be like him.;)

You really think Fed will have the muscle like Nadal? Not only is that not good for his body frame andvery tough to do but it will only slow him down and limit his flexibility. BTW, you DO know that Nadal uses a paintjob right? You´re pulling my leg right?
