Why is Hewitt's backhand crosscourt to rafa's forehand giving rafa so much trouble ?? Rafa handles everybody else's backhand like it is nothing ?

Nadal not playing sharp today. He needs to up his level and aggressiveness. Hewitt playing with no errors so far.

I would say because he doesn´t look familiar with Hewitt´s patterns. He hasn´t `played him in a while so he has having trouble figuring out where Hewitt is going with his shots.

you are so right but rafa is so used to going crosscourt with his forehand to attck the backhand, it is not easy

Nadal looks flat and perhaps a bit tired. Hewitt is also playing inspired tennis.

I wish I could see the match. Vamos Rafa! Comon, Hewitt! Sounds like a good match, because if Hewitt wins a set I know Rafa won't give up.

All those shots landing inside the service box by Rafa are like target practice for Hewitt, he's just firing away.

First set is Hewitt's, 6-2... Will the streak end at 80?

Well if Nadal loses it won´t be the end of the world. Very shocking yes. But at least it´s not in Paris. I would be surprised if Nadal doesn´t give it a fight in this match. He almost looks like he´s not trying. Nadal doesn´t play this bad on clay, ever.

Hewitt is in a zone but Rafa is just missing everything today. The worst performance from Rafa I've seen.

Well, to a Fed-fan like myself, a Federer/Hewitt final sounds a lot more appealing than a Federer/Nadal final, so go Hewitt!

But I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Nadal turns it around. The guy's tenacity on this surface in particular can't be neglected.

actually i dont think nadal plays poorly ..but hewitt is playing amazingly..no free points for nadal. they have similar numbers of UEs. but hewitt's winners are many more.

A Hewitt/Moya final would have been really something from the past century, and a slap in the face to the top guns from the old timers.

WOW what is going on here ? It looks like Hewitt is the one that is playing with tactics and placement and rafa is the one just reacting and being jerked around ??

I think Hewitt is playiing with 27 1/2 inch racket, it looks long to me. maybe that is why his forehand and backhand is so penetrating today and Hewitt has no trouble with rafa's big topspin forehand ?

It's strange seeing Nadal slow to react on what's coming next. Nadal just mistiming a lot of shots today.
