If I were you, I would really keep quiet right now because you were the one (along with other clowns) who predicted Chardy would beat Nadal (or threaten him big time) because Nadal's game sucked. So, please, go back to your cave now. Nadal has been playing splendidly all week. Chardy never had a prayer. And who was right all along ? Me.

First, I never said anything about Chardy all week. Next, Nadal is playing well today, FINALLY. He played like a mug in his first 2 matches, as should a guy who hasn't played in over 6 months. Don't sit there and pretend to be "right" or the voice of reason because according to you, Nadal looks the same in every match and always plays superb. Probably because it's not his tennis that you're watching.

Absolutely not true and he would not have won with the score he did if he had. But never mind. I'm not in an arguing mood, so we'll just agree to disagree. Don't care as long as he wins the tournament, which I think (hope) he will.

6-2!? The slayer of Murray, the choice of Serena, how? Is Chardy growing that ugly beard out? That would explain it

As I love how easily he breaks his opponents on that surface. 5-2 Rafa.

Ending with an ace, why not? 6-2, 6-2, routine victory. next victim: Zeballos.

He just feels no pressure. On clay, he is so confident in his abilities that 0-40 probably registers as 0-15 in his mind.

People were claiming Chardy was hitting the ball cleaner than Rafa and that he would give Rafa his first serious test but I know how traumatic it can be to play Rafa on clay for the first time. I agree that Rafa's 1st 2 opponents played better.
I hope Rafa wins the event in straight sets now. Both doubles and singles, why not.

I know, right? But even after all this time, it's still amazing to witness.

What an AWESOME match! Nadal Lost but to an inspired Zeballos in his home country. One of the best claycourt matches i've seen in a long while.

Home country? I thought Zeballos was Argentinian.
