What would you do your username if Fed doesn't win Wimby 2014?

I don't get it. His name just says "Federer wins Wimbledon 2014". What's the hidden message? Also, why wouldn't Hewitt play?

it would have been 22-10 but roger bailed at the open.

he decided to get run over by tommy robredo instead.

I like roger but that was not cool. he should have beaten robredo and then gone after nadal and see what happens.

he is not that far removed from 2012 where he won a slam.

more than likely roger is not going to beat nadal at any slam but at least you die trying.

that is the way of the warrior.

A guy on the streets sees Rafa and said "He's Federer, right? ",
and Rafa hears him and answer "yes, I'm like Federer but not as good"

literally said , a little worse, but I think in english is better the other
    interpretation.

I think the article that this quote came from makes Nadal, and his entire team sound like snobbish a**holes. Not a flattering article about him at all.

Nadal's lucky he didn't face Nikolay Davydenko, that guy owns him on hard courts. Federer would have been a 50/50 chance given Fed's record and dominance of the USO. Nadal got a break, looking forward to seeing the next round of slams.

Why am I not surprised to see that you think this? Lol. Nadal could murder people and you would think the sun shines out of his rear end. Seriously, he and Benito both came across as snobs in that article. The whole "he won't wear a white jacket because he will look like a waiter" thing was ridiculous. I also think Nadal came across as whiny as well.

Benito maybe (he was the one to make the comment about the jacket).
Rafa whined about nothing, he just didn't want the stylist or whoever it was to cut his nails.

It's perfectly fine that Nadal said he's a little worse than Federer because that's the truth. Murray could have said the same thing to Nole and that's fine too.

Yeah, Benito said it, and when he asked Nadal to try on the checkered bow tie, he pretty much told Benito to wear it himself if he thinks its so great. That's a snobby and pathetic attitude, and Benito didn't form that silly opinion all by himself. What happened to the whole "I'm not better than anyone else" schtick he is always preaching on about? Sounds like a whole lot of bs to me after reading that article.

Please. It wasn't only the nails thing. It was also the whole "Nadal doesn't like to be photographed, and if he gets tired, he will whine and cry like a 5 year old" stuff as well. That article made me like him a little bit less, and I'm sure I can't be the only one(sycophants like you excluded of course).

Here's the link in case anyone wants to read the entire thing for themselves.

    Classic humble Nadal.

After their Rome 2013 final, he had this to say to Federer, "Congratulations Roger on a great season!"

What a class this champ is, on and off the court. Shows respect for his opponents.

So what's Nadal's excuse for losing early in Slams more often than any GOAT candidate in history?

It is nothing too mysterious. Lets just say there is more than 1 reason/motive for my username than a prediction.

Not the same at all. Murray hasn't even been #1 yet.
At Nadal's current age, Fed had fewer titles overall and fewer tier 1 titles (although they each had 13 slams). Not obvious at all whether Fed is better than Nadal or not. Less injured? Sure. Better as a tennis player? Very arguable.

Jesus Clarky, do you have to be SO negative?. Rafa made a joke to Benito, we don't know the tone of Benito there either.
And so what that Rafa doesn't like photography sessions?, he's a tennis player, not a model, and good that Benito tried to make sure he wouldn't have to spend more time in it than necessary.

    #30
  31. If Nadal was a better tennis player, he would be injured less.

When people say injuries cost Nadal more success, i think that is similar to saying stopping after 200m cost Usain Bolt the 800m world record.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. You are just FULL of excuses for Nadal. He acted like a snobbish jerk, and so did that sleaze Benito. There's no defending it, Miss Lawyer, even though I know you'll try.

And if he's a tennis player and not a model, then maybe he should stop pimping himself out to every publication who will wave some bucks at him. He wasn't forced into it at gunpoint, you know.

You saying he acted like a snobbish jerk doesn't make it so. I have nothing to defend really, your arguments are just silly.

He can have endorsements which include the occasional photo shoot if he wants, and have his publicist see that it doesn't take longer than it should. It means nothing.

And you saying he didn't doesn't make it so, either.

My opinion is Nadal acted like a fool with his silly demands and comments, and Benito is a sleaze. Nothing you say will change that.

Nadal is just being modest. But you understand that he does carry that mentality as opposed to someone who is full of themselves. I mean sometimes he plays guys who he can beat easily and still says that he "needs to play his best" to beat that person. He's pretty modest and I think that's why he never overlooks his opponents which is admirable.
