Nadal is having an absolutely fantastic year. But, once again it makes me appreciate Federer's achievements.

Nadal has won 10 consecutive matches against the top-10. Federer has the record longest streak at 26.

Nadal won 4 consecutive tournaments in 2013. Federer once won 7 consecutive tournaments.

Nadal reached 9 consecutive tournament finals in 2013. Federer once reached 17 consecutive finals.

Nadal won 22 consecutive matches in 2013. Federer once won 35 consecutive matches in 2005.

Comparisons are not meaningful. It is much stronger era these days with guys like Isner, and with Murray and Djokovic in their primes.

Nadal won his 26th Masters 1000 title. Federer, being more than 4 years older, has only 21.

Nadal won his 8th Roland Garros title this year. Federer has only won a slam 7 times, and over a much longer period of time.

Nadal has won one slam per year for 9 consecutive years. Federer could only manage 8.

Nadal AND Djokovic have now won 5 Masters 1000 titles in a season, whilst Federer could never manage more than 4.

Nadal has won 8 titles at 3 different tournaments. Federer hasn't won 8 titles at any tournament.

Nadal has made 8 finals at 4 different tournaments. Federer has only made 8 finals at one tournament.

Nadal's 2013 makes you appreciate Federer's achievements only to cover up your blatant insecurities. Oh, and I've never once heard a commentator mention any of your records, while the first four on my list were all mentioned yesterday evening during the Cincinnati final.

nadal has won both HC slams only once (HC is the most prevalent surface on tour). if nadal wins each HC slam a second time and another RG and W he is the GOAT for me.

but I can't rank a player who is a fluke winner at two slams (I call one slam a fluke same goes for feds RG) above a guy that dominated 3 slams over a really long period.

Can you say the same about Federer?

You have said what? Sampras's play in clay or Slow surface is too bad.

Moreover, Nadal is blessed with Slow surface, the increase in the weight of a ball, etc.

Roger is also the same with Sampras and clay is the worst surface. However, he is also following the worst surface to the final repeatedly. It is consistency.

You ignore Sampras's fault too much.

ATP official.

Roger Federer is the 1st place of a favorite player whom a tennis fan chooses. Ten-year continuation.

Moreover, Roger Federer wins the sportsmanship prize which ATP players choose. 8 times.

Both are already records.

However, don't worry.

Roger Federer already declines and a participation tournament also decreases. Moreover, it is troubled also by the injury of the back.

Nadal will win these prizes this year. Congratulations. Loll

All meaningless stats apart from the first one, which is admittedly awesome. Those 26 will never be beaten at Masters level.

How is it a fluke to win a tournament that in the last 4 years, you made 3 finals and a semifinal in, losing to only 1 person. It means that he was the second best clay courter in those years, meaning that it wasn't a fluke to win RG, considering his results there.

Same goes to a lesser extent for Nadal at USO and AO, he has made an additional final at each, showing that he could back up the result.

You think being the first man ever to win a slam 8 times is just a 'meaningless stat'?

Very weak clay competition Nadal faced, including Fed. His clay stats are way overinflated, and therefore 8 slams is less meaningful than it appears to be, especially when the second best achievement is only one slam less.

Here is one stat that Fed or anybody else today doesn't have, and Nadal does:

Nadal has a winning H2H against every player in the top-30. Isn't that amazing ?

A little petty to try to dismiss someone's awesome year!

It certainly doesn't compare to Fed's quarter-final streaks, does it:lol:

Lol...Nadal doesn't get appreciation for being no.2 player in the world for 160+ weeks. Only being number 1 matters or winning a major. Why should you be awarded for being 2nd 3rd or 4th best.

Federer has won 4 titles at three of the four Slams, and 5 at two of them. Nadal has only done this at one slam.

He's also won 5 consecutive titles at two of the slams, which Nadal has never done.

You can do this all day with different records, pointless exercise really. Except that in all the (slam & masters) ones you have mentioned Federer was close to Nadal, in the ones I mentioned Nadal is not really close to.

The Nadtrolls have totally taken over the board it seems, no room left for a sensible discussion/debate.
