Today i was in cinncinati and i was wtching nadal practive. After practice uncle toni took nadals racket and took off the overgrip. Under the grip it was black. I wasnt very close and couldnt see that well so i dont know what kind of grip it was. does anyone have any idea what replacement grip he uses.

Interesting. Some say he only uses three (!) overgrips without any replacement grip. Are you sure it wasn't the bare handle?

Ya im sure. It was a warmup right before his match and nadal had brought 4 rackets to the practice and only used 1. Uncle toni Had his own racket and was using a black grip without an overgrip. Nadal left his 1 racket that he used and uncle toni was unwinding it and there was a black grip underneath.

Any dimwit can edit the wikipedia stuff ... that's why it's called a "wiki". It's not exactly in the Encyclopedia Britannica's class when it comes to accurate information ;)

I do sweat alot.....especially now in the summer when its very hot and humid here, so I prefer tourna grip for summer and wilson for winter/fall/spring

It could not be the bare handle, babolat racquets have a natural wood color handle.

Not relevant to the conversation but, I was also in cincy for the tournament on that day. I was also at the practice courts watching Federer when Nadal showed up on the next court. Good times. I even got my high school tennis shirt signed by Roger.
