Search it up. I think Fabfed has the specs posted somewhere when he bought Rafa's racquet on a charity auction.

I would think nadals racket is not lighter than other rackets. he probably has a ton of lead on it.

I grabbed one of his sticks at IWTG. 336 grams, 33 cm balance, 344 swingweight.

Listen to this guy. I thought the range on the mass was 334-336g, strung, gripped, impact absorber, all installed. Very light total mass, and very light swing wt., for a pro of his ranking. More like a junior wt and swing wt.

Interesting, I wonder if this is more of a HC setup as opposed to the clay:

Static weight has gone up 4g to 336g

Balance has dropped 33.5cm to 33

SW dropped from 355 to 344.

Maybe he's looking for more stick speed (like he needs it...lol)

That's a fairly big drop in SW and balance, pretty surprised actually.

I just checked mine (pre cortex version) and it is 336.7 grms. with a balance of 33.4cms and a sw of 354 (I have just switched on the RDC so it is still cold and may have a slight variation). This is strung with duralast and with an overgrip.

    All the best

Junior SW?! Isn't Federer's SW about the same? Wouldn't that make it GOAT SW rather than junior SW?

Hey Greg, the specs seem to be more headlight and lighter swing weight lately for the hard courts. I wonder if that has been going on since he changed to the black strings or just lately for hardcourts.
I just wanted to ask if this was one of the rackets he was using at the IWTG tournament and if it was strung with overgrip/dampener and all that or not.

He drops tension to get more depth, and adds lead to the head for the same purpose. Since he will hit with more spin to bring the ball back down, it means he can hit with the same depth with less effort/more spin.

If you are able make a run to Brad Gilberts shop in San Rafael and he has one of Rafa's sticks in the middle of the shop. The believe it's one he used to win wimby and your able to get up close and personal.

When I say "I just checked mine" I meant, I checked the racquet I have that Rafa gave me.

Nice get... I think he will go back to those specs now for Clay season. Specs that Greg measured 1 moth ago I am willing to bet are his us HC specs.

Those are the unstrung figures for the entire stick: the balance would go up to 33.5 or so in strung form. Add string and an OG and that takes you to 334 strung, another 2 for the dampener gets you to 336g. The SW would be roughly 346 strung as well so Richard's numbers above are spot on.

how would you go about customizing a apd gt to this? i put it into the customizer that tennis warehouse has and to say the least the places they say to put the lead look really iffy. http://twu.tennis-warehouse.com/cgi-bin/customize.cgi

    any help out there?
