There had been discussion back in 08 about him using a black grip which could be an overgrip.

Some say he uses 3 overgrips but how do they stay on the handle without an adhesive backing?

So what is his current grip below his white overgrip that we see?

Black Babolat Skin Feel grip. One VS Original overgrip (white, of course). This set-up has, I believe, become the most conclusive answer.

strung it a few months back.

    syntec grip, vs overgrip.

he hasn't ever used a bare pallet to the best of my knowledge.

i'll try to post a pic.

Why is his replacement grip torn? Does he practice sans overgrip?

he has before, I've seen a video or two with him not using the VS overgrip.. Btw that particular setup is very comfy, the Syntec when brand new is just so plush feeling.

On topic, are those David Ferrer's extended Ozone Tours in that pic?

edit: on reexamination, where does the Syntec appear ripped? I can see some of the white left over from a VS grip, which can happen if theyre left on too long and get stuck to the replacement grip, but I dont see where it's ripped at..

I use three overgrips and they all stay on the handle, never had any problems with it. Feels very cushiony and nice:)

One replacement grip is about as thick as 2 overgrips. Seems thick to use 3 replacement grips instead of one replacement grip and one overgrip (pun intended)

He definitely uses just one overgrip. I saw him practice at Cincy last year, saw him take off ONE overgrip after the practice.
