Isner and Murray get the nod over Nads, I guess with Isner playing a french fry it's kind of understandable, but Murray and the flying fin, wow, somebody better make sure NSK is on suicide watch.

lol. No one cares about this joke. Even the French.

When Roger walks onto centre court everyone cheers for minutes non-stop.

When Rafa walks onto centre court you can hear a rat **** on cotton.

Federer played on Lenglen for his 1R match and Djokovic played there yesterday. I guess they switch around the top players with French players to keep it fair.

You know how hard it is to watch a slow match in the nosebleed section on center court? :p

The dude takes too long to play, nobody wants to watch that... it is what it is. He wins, but it's not entertaining to watch.

My good friend, NSK, is not so shallow. He doesn't care about these superficial things.
His agenda is 10 RG's and >25 majors, and Rafa winning slams into his 30s.

oh, lol sent, so cute ,,, don't won't to derail this thread, but I was so busy with my work and a good friend of mine wanted me to get me a cat for my birthday (he loves cats).. I was like, I can hardly take care of my self, I couldn't even take care of a fish ... guess what, I got a little beautiful Betta fish for my birthday ... crazy guy ... so I get up and I try to have a breakfast and feed my little fishy ... I worry more about him/her (not sure if it's a guy or a girl) than myself :)

I would rather watch Murray on center court.

That's the most wonderful experience I've had in life ... worrying more about someone else than yourself, and taking care of that person/animal, like this situation where the fish totally relies on you. I take care of stray pups so i can really relate to this.

You can call her Mardy, or something, lol.

True. Toni gets paid by Iberostar based on how much he's coming on telly, so court matters.

Especially since Rafa doesn't pay him a nickel and Toni has family to feed.

Yes. Not sure why this is news because it's been like that every year.

As for people not caring about him...

Considering he has 10 million Facebook fans alone, surely that can't be solid proof that the French do care.

Besides, I'd rather watch a famous tennis player I don't like or even hate, and get his signature rather than come back empty handed; I'm sure most others will think this way too.

Nadal currently has 10,631,534 facebook friends.
Federer currently has 10,662,664 facebook friends.
Nadal leads the tennis world in Twitter followers, not sure of Federer or if he has a Twitter.

Oh and Nadal won the 2011 Humanitarian of the Year award for his foundation in India and Africa, and his school in India. I guess that counts as popularity, of the most valuable kind.
