is nalbandian at a good fitness level now and over his injuries? i mean this guy could give the Us Open a shake if he gets a few solid matches in at the Olympics. He should beat dent first round as he did in an Australian Open Leadup coming off wrist surgery.

He withdrew from Cincy with an injury. It's unlikely he'll be at a competitive level by the US Open.

David Nalbandian (ARG) has withdrawn from the Tennis Event due to a thigh

    injury.

He was due to play in the men's doubles in Sunday's evening session with
Agustin Calleri, against Igor Andreev/Nikolay Davydenko (RUS). Nalbandian
and Calleri will be replaced by Juan Ignacio Chela/Mariano Zabaleta (ARG).

In the singles draw, No. 6 seed Nalbandian wil be replaced by Frederick
Niemeyer (CAN), who will face Taylor Dent (USA).

He seemed to be having tons of fun during the ceremony, and you can bet he's not going to be on the first plane going back to Argentina...lots of fun to be had in Greece.

Very odd that he acquired the injury to-day. Odd, very odd.
