Westbrook takes more shots than any two other players on his team not named Martin/Durant. Make it 4.

That's the way OKC is built though. Who's going to dominate on offense otherwise? Perkins/Ibaka aren't post up players, though Ibaka has expanded offensively. Sefalosha is mainly there for defense. What do you expect, Nick Collison to take 10 shots a night?

Dwight is so stupid. How many 3 sec violations should an NBA center get? Answer: 0.

Why, because he doesn't have the footwork to be effective while moving in and out of the paint? I thought he worked with The Dream? If Dream can't teach you how to move in and out of the paint, then just give up.

Yes, and point guards should never be called for traveling and double dribbles...

The same Joe Dumars that overpaid for Charlie Villanueva, Rodney Stuckey, and Ben Gordon. Let's not forget taking Darko over Melo. :?

Howards not even in Olajuwons class and the baby is still gonna be able to demand a max contract. Some idiot owner would give him half the franchise then watch him blow playoff game after playoff game with his missed free throws and bricks from 6 feet.

Watching Kansas play and I am liking Ben Mac more and more. I just don't see him as a #1 pick, but this draft just doesn't have a true #1.

He can't go left and he can't create off the dribble. If he could do those 2 things, he would be a surefire #1 pick. Love his stroke, love his speed and his length.

That being said I think he would be a great SG for a team that has a SF next to him that can iso. So if we get him, suck again, and then somehow get Wiggins or Parker, it's perfect.

If you get Mac, you need to use him like rip hamilton, JJ, Ray Allen. Run him off screens, get him open, get him corner 3s and transition dunks.

Amar'e Stoudemire is having a clean up surgery on his other (right) knee, and it's schedule to miss 6 weeks.

The timing of it makes no sense to me. When you go in for debridement surgery, it's caused by graduate wear/tear. In other words, it's not a sudden decision but usually planned ahead of time.

If that's the case, why did he even come back? He's been back for what, 1-2months, now he's going to be out for another 6weeks? It just doesn't make a lot of sense timing wise.

Not enough attention being paid to Nets' resurgence under Carlesimo...they are 23-12 since dumping Avery Johnson and now 2.5 games out of a #2 seed in the playoffs. Time to take the "interim" tag off him!

Deron Williams went crazy Friday night...42 points, including a record 9 treys in a half!

The Lakers should fine Jodie Meeks and Metta World Peace for shooting another 3, for the rest of their contracts.

And every airball gets a suspension.

Metta yes, Meeks no. He's played well this year. Ron is just stealing money now though.

Although Meeks has made enough 3s this season, he also missed a fair share of it, and often times he misses for long stretches. All I'm saying is, when the 3 isn't there for you on a particular day, you've got to be smart and stop shooting. Robbing your team of a possession.

Long shot = long rebound = leak out/fastbreaks.

He only averages 6 shots a game. What are these long stretches you speak of?

The last two games he was 2-7 and 2-9 from 3. Game before that he was 5-9 I think. Then a couple games with like 2 shots. I dont watch the lakers day in and day out. But looking at game logs I can see what Chi is talking about.

There's something wrong with your system when you let a bench player take 7+ 3pointers, and his name isn't Jamal Crawford, Jason Terry, or Manu Ginobili.

Get the brooms out...Magic to take clean sweep of the Lakers!

Vaughn's secret weapon...suit up every big and utilize the Hack-a-Dwight plan early and often.

last night's win makes me wonder if san antonio is really the best team in the west and has been for the past 2 years.

maybe the thunder just got hot last year at the right time.

Harden was the reason OKC beat the Spurs last year. A fluke game from Ibaka. But Durant and Westbrook are all they got. West IMO is not at the level where he can win a series. SA will force Westbrook to win 3 games by himself. He might win 1 and Durant can win 1 or 2. But without Harden OKC cant beat SA in 7 game series. Given parker comes back and all that stuff.

But Memphis is the team that poses matchup nightmares to SA.

Cant see anyone beating the heat though.

I got friends in Reno right now Bowling. Said Spurs right now are 4-1 bet to win title. And Lakers are 2-1. That many delusional LA fans have bet so much that the line is 2-1.

    Thats crazy.

Chaos in DT Orlando. Media insanity, Lakers staying in hotel above my favorite starbucks made the coffee line extra long.

    D12 is shooting around now.

This is the only relevant game we will play this year, so I am enjoying it.

The Hack a Dwight thing is amateurish when you're down 14 with 2:06 to play.

i think dwight is still universally disliked but he also looks like he's finally healthy. i kinda give him props for playing early this season at less than 100% to try and help the lakers.

meanwhile rose is probably 100% physically but mentally only 50% there. like he got bucked off a horse and doesn't want to get back on.

Spurs worry me. They got beatdown by 30 at home against the Trailblazers and now lost by 24 to the T-Pups...

But then beat OKC soundly. I think they're still adjusting to not having Parker.

Kobe Byrant twisted his ankle and he's P!SSED that the defender undercut him on a jump shot. And he's recommending the league to do something with the rules to project a jump shooter upon landing.

He has a point, and it's sad that the NBA league office may act faster than tennis' front offices about our rules.

That Twolves loss was withouht Parker, Duncan, and Leonard. You just have to trust in Pops. He knows he has to rest guys to keep them healthy and see what the other guys can do when called upon. Come playoff time you will get the best they got.

Spurs make the Finals if they dont have to play Memphis. OKC is not scarry unless Martin starts to actually play D. I know they had to let Harden go for Long term. But they will regret that this year and next.

Kobe's sprained ankle could be good for him actually, but bad for the team.

Good for Kobe because he's been redlining since day 1 of the season.

Bad for the team for obvious reasons.

Denver on fire...11-game win streak puts them firmly in the hunt for home-court advantage for the first round. That bonus, if it happens, is huge...they are 30-3 @Pepsi Center.

George Karl and Greg Popovich are the two current coaches where, they can have anyone on their teams, and they'll be in the conversation regardless.

I would add Doc to that list...I'll never forget the rookie coach taking a bunch of nobodies to a .500 season record, missing the playoffs by one stinking game!

Yeah +1, and that was a crazy game last night. Denver does not like the style Memphis wants to play. Grizz are tough, nasty and physical. Difficult to deal with both Gasol and Randolph at the same time.

It's crazy how tough the West will be to win this year! If the season were done today, here's the match-ups:

    (1) SAS vs (8) LAL
    (2) OKC vs (7) HoRo
    (3) MemGriz vs (6) GSW
    (4) LAC vs (5) DenNug

Obviously, there will be some jockeying around this last month but not one of these teams can expect more than one easy out in this lineup.

Miami must be licking their chops as the winner will be worn down by the test this all presents.

I think LAC is probably the deepest "twelve" and this may come into play in April/May/June. The problem is the process now has had a bit of March Madness added to it because they are not a lock to get that home-court advantage in the critical first-round.

Will be one of the better playoffs to watch in a good while.

I agree that the West will be more interesting than usual, but the NBA is still the most black and white of all the pro sports playoffs. The home team usually wins. The stars like Kobe and LeBron get all the calls. 90% of the action is in the last 25% of the game. Scoring goes way down. This means that if you bet on the Nuggets to make the NBA finals, you might as well be burning money in your fireplace.

Frankly, if tennis was this rigged, the hot girls would get alleys. Or three serves. Or both. And, come to think of it, perhaps that wouldn't be such a bad thing!
