    Holy crap!

Charles Barkley can bench! Did 315lbs like it was nothing, and then powered through 405lbs.

LOL, sometimes the Chuck-Shaq bits are more entertaining than the games themselves.

My favorite is when they ridicule Charles' horrible golf swing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxLkEPb5DzI). Shaq told him that his golf swing has a speech impediment. :)

Breaking News! Russell Westbrooke - torn meniscus - report didn't say but have to assume he's done (if he listens to his agent and hangers on) for the year.

westbrook done for the season. never want to see guys go out like that. that ruins the heat - thunder rematch. i'm hoping san antonio or the clips represent the west.

Borderline "defensive" play there. Defensive back maybe.

Obvious that OKC was calling a TO.

Lousy outcome for the NBA with all of these injuries. Try as they might via corrupt refs to get Kobe vs. LeBron in every NBA finals, at this rate they might be left with Klay Thompson vs. JR Smith in the title series this year!

Spurs laying a beatdown in LA. And I thought this was going to be a competitive series.... I almost think the Lakers' players just want the season to end now.

I think Lakers would have had a chance if Parker and Ginobili were as injured as they seemed to be towards the end of the season.

Healthy Parker, Ginobili, and Duncan, forget about it. Duncan and all the big men of the Spurs basically get a free pass in this series because:

    - D'Antoni refuses to use his big men and go inside-out
    - Howard remains as an offensive liability. All of his points come from the dunks and putbacks. If he catches it outside the paint, all he does is eat clock.
    - Pau Gasol gets soft comes Playoffs time

Classic example of an overhyped team. Many people were saying how it was going to be competitive and how the lakers can win. In these scenarios it never works out. It's like people forget why the other team is a #1 seed. People get crazy with upset calls and then everyone jumps on, the team that makes the upset is usually the one not mentioned a lot.

Big fan of Nate Robinson, I'm glad to see him get the credits in Chicago.

However, at this rate, we'll never see the Grizzlies/Clippers game, not with all these overtimes.

OKC is starting to use Kevin Durant like a point-forward in Westbrook's absense...

Nash and MWP are out for game 4. The D-League MVP gets another chance to shine. I don't think it will matter for the Spurs as I'm sure they just want to end this series and get some rest.

Getting ready to watch the beatdown that's going to happen in LA.

The Lakers should get fined for putting this product on the floor.

The half is not even done yet and the Lakers have 14 turnovers. Most teams don't have that much turnovers for an entire game.

You might as well inbound the ball to the Spurs.

Way to be smart Dwight Howard. You're down 3 games, down by 20points in this game, you have a no-name guarding you, and you already have one technical foul for the game...

WHY would you want to pick up another technical?! I've been saying he's an offensive liability, now he's just a liability, period.

    There's a Mamba sighting! :)

Spurs up 20 at the end of the 3rd. Barring an epic meltdown, Spurs on their way to a sweep.

Popovich proving he's the best coach in the league, once again. D'Antoni better update his resume.

I'm not sure D'Antoni wants this season in his resume.

He had Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard and he didn't really use them (again, WHY?!). Kobe Byrant going ape-**** on people and they were just the 7th seed (HOW?! That's hard to do).

Moving forward, Lakers defense need to decide how the game is going to go. Either a lay-up drill or give people the 3. You can't give your opponents a lay-up drill AND wide open 3's.

I'm glad Reggie Miller is suggesting Dwight Howard isn't a max-contract player.

So much for theory that Dwight is the best center in the league. What an awful year he had.

Raises the question - who IS the best center? Is it the old man officially listed as a forward?!

I'm not sure D'Antoni will be coach next season. His philosophy and the team lineup don't go well together.

The Lakers will get it together eventually, but only after Kobe's, Pau's, Metta's contracts are off the books. Howard's 50/50 on returning and their bench leaves much to be desired.

Kupchak and Buss will have a busy offseason to figure out this mess. This team isn't going to win a title even if everyone is healthy. If Kobe retires after next year then they'll have the funds to go after free agents. I think they would be better off getting lottery picks and maybe tanking the year after Kobe retires.

Centers aren't so relevant these days. It's become more of a swingman-oriented league. Clear-outs, perimeter jumpshots, penetrate and dish is what's being pushed. Big men have been largely reduced to interior defense, putbacks, screens, pick-and-roll. Not many teams even bother with having centers post-up. And the ones that still use postup centers use big men that are good at making the outlet passes.

I don't think Howard is worth max money when you factor in the way the game is being played. Oh and his penchant for making stupid decisions, limited offensive game, lack of leadership skills, and that he's high-maintenance to deal with. Someone will pay the heavy price for him anyway, so him and his army of kids won't be starving.

LA had no depth from the get go. They sacrificed depth (old man Antawn Jamison isn't 'depth' BTW) for star power and it blew up on them once the injuries hit.

Stephen Curry was amazing in the third quarter tonight for the Warriors. Bogut is a really tough guy and did a great job playing through pain; my understanding is that he pretty much has to stay off his ankle between games.

I hope Curry and Bogut's ankles hold up. Incidentally, I was the guy wearing a yellow/gold t-shirt at tonight's game.

Duncan is PF always has been.

Centers arereally a thing of the past. Best in the game right now is Marc Gasol IMO. 2d is probably Brook Lopez. That shows how thin the position is.

it's not a question of whether he will get max money - some team will roll the dice. but whether or not he's worth max money. after this season -- he comes out looking like a liability on the offensive end, immature team leader, and prone to bonehead decisions on the court.

also scary. kobe is due something like $27 million next year and almost $22 million for dwight.

the big three in miami get about $17 mil a piece.

    durant - $17 mil, westbrook $13 mil, kevin martin (!!!) 12 mil.

He really is a fake person in so many ways. The beauty of it is that he can't hide it from the media like so many other players did. He melts down in games, always wants a star call..etc.

We were horrible this year and I still don't miss the guy one bit. He absolutely ruined the vibe in Orlando and we are finally getting it back with these young guys who just play their hearts out every night.

Then who is worth Max Money?

This year Dwight was not. But the Flying all over defnding the rim blocking shots roll to the hoop with power dwight was.

He really needs the right coach and players to make it work. That aint Dantoni and LA dont have those guys and never will with Kobe taking up so much cap.

He plays good defense, there's no denying that. But a max player plays on both ends of the floor.

The dude's got no post moves and it's effectively useless if he catches the ball outside of the paint. He remains as an offensive liability. Hell, Blake Griffin came into the league with no post moves. He's been in the league shorter than Dwight Howard has and Griffin has developed more moves since.

Alonzo Mourning could get buckets on the fly. Dwight Howard panics and **** bricks and pick up offensive fouls if he's not directly underneath the basket.

I would take Mourning over Howard any day of the week. Mourning was a warrior who gave the team everything he had, Howard is a whining, smiley faced dope. Let someone else make the mistake of giving him the max deal.

Dwight will get max money unfortunately. He's just too talented not to. Personally I wouldn't take him over Noah all things considered. Noah is the heart of the team and only getting better, Dwight mopes and has no heart.

I remember Dwight was preaching the word of God when he first came up. How did that go with the 5 kids by 5 different women? He was annoying then and even more irritating now.

Howard is just following the steps of the "real deal" Holyfield with all the preaching, the kids and baby mommas. But even with all the punches taken, Holyfield might still have more functioning brain cells than Howard.

LBJ is still in my top 3, despite the league's efforts to make him the face of the NBA. Howard is right up there, especially over the past two years. Kobe might slip down a bit with his injuries and age, but heck I could never like him either.

Dwight Howard is the defending champion as the most hated player in my book. He won that title easily with the way he handled his Orlando Magic exit.

LOL, Dwight did finally get a "title" he so desperately wanted after all!

There are alot of tools in the NBA who handle their exits poorly. Dwight, LBJ and Melo are just the most well known right now.

Other candidates for most hated include the many floppers (I love when those lists come out), dirty players and the lazy bums.

The moral of the story: there will never be another Michael Jordan. The game so desperately misses him.
