raise your hand if you predicted the spurs would win by 30 some odd points and blow out miami? on the list of possible outcomes -- that had to be pretty low.

    I did.

I know how streaky Miami can be when the going gets tough and predicted that the series was not going to be a walk in the park. I figured there'd be a blowout game from San Antonio at some part in the series. They are just too much of a well-coached team not to be able to pick apart the Heat's system.

They got hot at the right time and Miami had no answers. Plus Wade was a liability on defense.

Since you were willing to lay 30 points, you mustve gotten some ungodly odds to cover that spread.

The defense on LeBron has been great, Leonard especially. If he can improve his finishing around the basket he'll be elite imo. He comes up with alot of offensive rebounds so it would be easy points I think.

As for Green and Neal, Miller and Battier were incredible from 3 point range last year. Maybe it's their turn this year.

So Miller goes 5 for 5, the Spurs run him around a bit and he's out of the game for good.
    Good coaching, coach Spostra.
Nobody can beat a hot 3 point shooting team. Like GS the first two games of the Spurs series, when you're hot, you're tough to beat...until they cool you down.

Thats the thing with the Spurs they have so many guys that can make those threes.

Green has been top 10 in the league last two years. Kawhi has his moments. Neal has his. Bonner sometimes. Diaw can hit from deep.

    And Tony and Manu.

Im thinking this Parker injury is either more serious or less serious than what the Spurs are telling. Im leaning towards less.

definitely a must win tonight for miami. i think they pull out a win tonight and hopefully we get to see lebron doing lebron kinda stuff like his performance in last year's celtics game 6.

can't tell if the parker injury is serious or if pop is pulling a rope a dope.

There's a new Coach K in the NBA...Very short retirement for Kidd as he inks the deal to lead the Nets. Deron Williams approves this message!

Oh don't worry, Jason Kidd will be back on the market very soon. Deron Williams is going to get his a** fired by the 40th game.

Jason has been part player, part coach since his days at Cal.
He's sorta following footsteps of MarkJackson....point guard who's smarts enabled him to play top B ball, not pure physical gifts.

Maybe Jason will "fire" DW and go all "Bill Russell" as player/coach:twisted:!

As LeeD pointed out, there's a "San Francisco treat" angle to this.

VinnyDelNegro. Wasn't he a 2 guard for the Spurs?
Maybe 2 guards play more jungle ball than cerebral B ball.

Suspect "Welcome To The Jungle" is not posted above the Spurs' Locker Room door.

Clips were one of the contender's for king of jungle ball.
    OKC is right in there.
Miami plays with more dicipline than is apparent.

I agree, it's a huge game for Miami. Over the last few years they've been experts at coming back from a loss, rarely if ever losing back-to-back games.

They will have to keep that record going, going down 3-1 to a team as good as the Spurs is probably too much, even for LeBron.

The future of this series hangs in the balance. If Heat lose it's all but over... so it comes down to this fourth quarter.

This series has no drama compared to the epic Dallas-Miami one.

Great performance by the heat tonight. Just goes to show how dominant they are when the big 3 play well.

We're going back to Miami, no matter what in game 5.

People will say anything when they're behind a computer screen. No accountability whatsoever. I respect Klan members more than I respect closet racists. There's no ambiguity or side-stepping. They hate me and their proud to say it. But the internet now breeds a new type of racist. Not one that demonstrates publicly. One that cowers behind the curtain of anonymity.

You mean how everyone in the Tennis Tip section is handling out advise and technique tips left and right? When really, the sport of tennis to them is hitting moonballs back and forth? :)

they need a basketball field of dreams - where the best players from different eras play each other in their primes.

this spurs/heat series would be ridiculous. think lebron/wade/bosh in their absolute primes vs duncan/parker/manu in their absolute primes.

The old Cleveland boy, LeBron, had a steamer of a game last night, as did Dwade.

The thing is though, Parker and Duncan are playing as well as they ever have this season. The last couple of years Tim's health has hindered his quickness even though the numbers remained the same. This year, he's brought it back up to 2003 form. And as for Parker, that guy is playing MVP-caliber basketball this whole 2012-2013 season. So what I'm trying to say is, this may very well be as close to prime vs. prime as we'll ever get.

Vintage Manu scores 24 with 10 assists, and Green adds another 6 3s for the Spurs. San Antonio leads the series 3-2

Green has been on fire all series.
He broke the finals all time three point record and still has games to go.

Final two games are at Miami so the series is far from over, rooting for the Spurs all the way.

Mannuuu! I'm sure the Heat will do their usual trick of bouncing back, setting up a game 7. Hopefully the Spurs can pull it out though.

Glad to see Diaw get to showcase his all-around game after all those years in Phoenix as the only capable defender in the D'Antoni D-less system and four more years in Charlotte without a chance for the spotlight.

Never understood the knock on miami being bought not built. Since when is being a good GM a bad thing? Signing and trading players is part of the game. Same with Pittsburgh in the nhl. Everyone was bashing them for signing all these good players at the deadline like it was illegal or something. Just never understood, can anyone explain?

NBA fixed? David Stern does not approve this message!

Yes, it's a see-saw and will go seven if the Spurs don't come with defensive intensity from tipoff to final buzzer. It will be insane @ the AAA!

David Stern said: "That's what you guys get for sending people home during the regular season. Y'all are going to play 7 games."
