I watched the game between Bulls and Knicks tonight, Bulls played well, no doubt. But there was something fishy going on with the refs, numerous blatant no-calls.

One team's modest four-game win streak had to end last night in Toronto...tragic it was the Magic. I thought we would have been singing the "big man blues" with Big Baby out 4-6 weeks but Ayon & Vukevic stepped up, we hit 50% from the floor but bricked from beyond the arc in a three-point loss.

Meanwhile, Clippers are 12-straight and as deep-benched as I can remember despite Billups/Hill geriatric recovery pace. They will play deep into May/June.

Indeed it was a great game. It's always Playoffs atmosphere in the Bay.

I think this was a good loss for the Warriors, to remind themselves that while they've gotten a lot better, they lack the experience. Talented teams can come back and steal the game. We gave up a 10+ point lead in the 4th quarter.

And what's up with the refs these past few days. Yesterday it was the blatant no-calls during the Knicks/Bulls game, and today, the refs were handing out fouls to both teams like it's nobody's business.

Somebody needs to put a hand on Carmelo Anthony's face or something. It's like shooting practice for him out on Staples Center.

It's such a treat to watch Steve Nash and Jason Kidd play in the same game.

And Jason Kidd just made Kobe Byrant facepalm himself, haha.

I'm glad Shane Battier and Dwyane Wade didn't get flagrant fouls because Russell Westbrook tried to sell the flagrant.

They got all ball and Westbrook fell because he was holding onto the ball throughout the block.

Westbrook needs to stop overreacting to getting grazed and make the play worse than it really is.

Your Bulls wasn't competitive enough to enjoy.

Both Lakers and Heat game was more exciting.:)

I wanna hear thoughts on which team you guys think is top in the west (regardless of their record). Some would argue the Spurs, and even though I hate them, I never count them out because they've been so consistently competitive in the playoffs through the past decade. And I still remember that game where they benched their big men, Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli I think, and their B team still almost beat the Heat (it was a 2 point game or something like that). The Lakers, and by no means am I saying they're the best in the west, are never a team to count out especially with all the talent they have ready to click. It's cool to see Nash playing again. But I'm realling digging the tenacity of the Clippers and the Thunder's young guns are still dominating even without Harden. It's no wonder why they have the best records in the west.

But personally, I'd have to say the Phoenix Suns are the best in the West.

....just kidding just kidding. I live in Arizona so I'm obliged to cheer for them. In all honesty though, I think the Clippers will make the most waves in the playoffs. Griffin is highly combustible and Paul is just a fantastic all-arounder. Can't wait to see what they accomplish.

The Clips...built to be the best season-long too! The bench, even without Billups and Hill, is the difference...keeping minutes down for the first-team so everyone will be fresh in May/June.

Suspension makes a difference tonight, Pistons up by 15 in the 3rd qtr.

ps Pistons play the 2nd team whole 4th qtr and burn the Heat.

Royce White is Diva of the Year. Seriously, this guy is just a loon. Rockets should have known better.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8794213/royce-white-rejects-houston-rockets-assignment-d-league

The guy has had issues since he was a child. Still, he won't seek professional help (probably afraid of being called out as a fraud), thinks he is too good to play in the D-league and is refusing the assignment, wants guaranteed playing time, yet can't handle the anxiety and pressure that come with playing in the NBA.

Him, and along with DeMarcus Cousins should team up and see how much hell they can rise to a single organization.

And then be given the swift boot.

Clips are on fire right now. But I think OKC is the cream of the crop out west.

And I dont think Royce White is being reasonable in his situation. The Rockets are trying and had already let him bus to games at the start of the year. The move him to the D-league becuase the travel is not as strenuous and he doesnt even appear to be trying to do anything to help. He seems like he is all take and no give.

Magic lose a heartbreaker in OT to the Heat. Starting to break down (six straight losses) after they made a nice run. Big Baby is sorely missed, now Jameer is hurt again. They will grind through this but pushing for a playoff spot is highly unlikely.

    Kobe still got hops!

Meanwhile, Lakers are offering the Clippers a glorified lay-up/dunk session.

And Jodie Meeks looks like a mini-Antawn Jamison...

Chris Paul's crossover is the deadliest weapon in pro basketball. Completely shook Kobe on a play.

MJ's crossover in 98 (the shot) is also in my top 3 crossovers
But hardaway's combo (killer crossover+reverse layup) was something

Other than the Knicks and Heat, the East is turrable. If a team needed to have a .500 record or better to get in the playoffs, forgetaboutit

The soap opera called "The Old and the Restless" featuring the Lakers continues to generate buzz. Mike Cassadine, oops D'Antoni, executes his "Bold and the Ugly" plan to create team chaos. Hey, he's thinking you only have "One Life to Live", so you might as well have a story to tell "All My Children".

Kobe recently told Gasol to put on his man pants, yet actually defended Gasol on the recent criticism (never mind team with Gasol in was a -20). Stephen A. Smith has been ragging D'Antoni repeatedly on his system and even Magic Johnson agrees. Phil popped the question to Jeanie over Christmas. Jim Buss has been rather silent. Kobe called the Clippers a legitimate championship contender. And the Lakers sit at 15-17, not even spending 1 day above .500 with this so-called Dream Team. Kobe still has his groove, but other than bad-back Howard there is no one that can be depended on to step up. Meeks took more shots than Nash and Gasol COMBINED, going 3-13.

At this rate, the Lakers are the NY Jets of the NBA.

Dantoni is doing Pau dirty. He still can be a great player, forcing him to be a jump shooting big instead of putting him/Dwight on the block and running more P&R w/ him and Nash is just as retarted as the Princeton O Brown got fired for.

No, the Lakers are like the Yankees of the MLB. They both are the most popular team in their respective sports, so they get scrutinize for every little thing that goes on in their organization.

And how did the Yankees do against the Tigers in the ALCS? The Yankees have spent over $2 billion in payroll the past 12 years and have just 1 world series to show. At least Hank can run a team better than Jim Buss.

At the moment, the 2013 season for the Lakers looks similar to the 2012 Red Sox. ESPN and a lot of Laker groupies were talking about a 75 win season. I think the Lakers will turn it around at some point, but folks in La-La land expected an explosive start. Oh wait there was an explosive run... by that other LA team. I'm no Lakers fan, but many of my relatives are. So I'm enjoying the drama, but I can't make it so obvious when I'm around them.

I agree, I too think the Lakers will turn it around eventually. I'm not even banking on a huge turnaround, but I see them making it into the playoffs. They can be the Western Conference "Boston Celtics", a team that's a non-factor in the regular season and coast through the regular season, then turn it up in the playoffs.

Love them or hate them, Lakers have massive talents on their roster. I'm a big fan of Antawn Jamison, D'Antoni needs to utilize him better and he can be a great anchor for the second unit. And lastly, when you have talents like Steve Nash and Kobe Byrant, you're going to win a lot of close games. Problem is, they have to keep it close first...

75 win season junk was only spouted off by MWP. Most if not all analysts still had OKC ahead of LA bc Nash can't guard Westbrook & the expected issues w/ gelling just like the Miami big 3 had their first year back.

Dwight Howard's FT shooting is a liability in any close game. You can have Kobe and Nash play lights out and get a lead but it will get whittled away by any good coach with a deep frontcourt who is willing to use Hack-a-Dwight tactics.

Kobe tried to be the ONE, scoring 18 of the team's 22 points in the 4th quarter. Lakers still lost though.

Stats wise the Lakers didn't do bad. They out-rebounded the Nuggets, Howard grabbed 26 boards, the team got 30 assists. But for some odd reason the Lakers, despite shooting over 50% on 2 pointers, resorted to chucking 3's (10 for 30). Left the Nuggets with a lot of fast break chances.

Lakers get to do the Texas two-step (Spurs and Rockets) next. I think they have to face OKC as well. Not looking easy.

couple of articles say the lakers likely have to go 35-14 in the remaining games to make the playoffs. they are running out of time to gel defensively and play well as a team. dwight's prolly going to the nets anyway after this miserable season.

If you watch the games, the problem's clear. They suck on defense, and Dantoni's offense just isn't working well enough with the parts they have. Nash can't guard anyone, which is no surprise, so top PGs are going to eat them alive.

Lakers have sucked on defense for a couple of years. It's usually been the "coast to the playoffs" attitude as their excuse. But this time their attitude needs to change... quickly.

D'Antoni's offense would work with a young, athletic squad of players that can manage themselves on the court. These Lakers don't fit the bill.

It doesn't help that D'Antoni's never cared for defense. In many 4th quarters the Lakers appear out of gas and their coverage slips. Brown got criticized for playing his starters too many minutes, but D'Antoni's doing the same thing. It's like he refuses to win games where his team doesn't get to 100. He wants fast tempo with many shot attempts. Almost like he doesn't care for the quality of shots for as long as they're chucked up.

I don't like the Lakers, but even I almost feel sorry for their fans in LA. I want to say "I told you so!" to them, but that would be rubbing it in. They're not a fun team to watch nor follow. Lots of mini-dramas and no real answers while the blame gets passed around like a hot potato.

While the Lakers are trying to figure themselves out, i'll be keeping more of a closer eye on the Clippers.

How can you feel sorry for the LA fans? The team has tried to acquire their team by using big market money and it hasnt worked so their fans have to go thru a season that the fans in over half the NBA cities face every year.
