My opinion - D12 to Warriors is the best option for him. Even better than Dallas.

Curry, Thompson, Barnes, Lee, Dwight - insane starting lineup. The only thing the Warriors are missing is a guy like Dwight who can defend and score inside 5 feet.

If he really wants to make a basketball decision, this is almost a no brainer to me. Mark Jackson is the perfect coach for him. I would actually really enjoy seeing this team. I am not sure who could stop them from a title.

For Houston, I think it makes more sense to keep their Center (who is really good) and go after Josh Smith. Put him at PF, and you now have a very athletic lineup with a scoring option that will make cheating on Harden almost impossible.

Houston could also try and make a move for Eric Bledsoe if they want to upgrade at point with more of a natural scorer, since Harden can run an offense.

To me this makes more sense.

LOL..I know..he is such a tool. But the interior defense and rebounding he brings can not be denied.

When I watched GSW lose, I saw that was their weakness. I know Bogut and Lee were hurt, but you really have the perfect compliment of players to make a title run if you got Dwight.

Look what we did with Hedo, Jameer and Rashard. Now think about what Curry, Barnes and Thompson could do with Lee and Howard underneath. That is scary good stuff.

Warriors always lose when Curry is injured, can't make a jumper, Klay is busy playing D so he doesn't shoot any good, all the rest are missing jumpers and layups, Lee is down to 5 minutes a game, and Bogut is a year from playing an effective 20 minutes a game.
Barnes needing 20 shots to score 24 points is not a bonus.

If we take Dwight Howard, then your Orlando Magic better sign Andrew Bynum to a (blind) max contract, who is refusing to work out for teams.

And make a packaged deal to get Kwame Brown.

A healthy Kwame, playing 30 minutes a game for the first 6 games, averaging 9 pts. and 9 rebounds, is starting material for GS.

First semi-big move of FA period, as Clips land Jared Dudley and JJ Redick while sending Eric Bledsoe to Phoenix and Milwaukee ends up with nothing. That Harris for Redick deal looking worse and worse for Milwaukee.

Ellis and the other little scoring guard take the whole load plus some for the Bucks.
Heck, Ellis wants to play 54 minutes a game, if he gets to shoot 40 shots. And he'll score 38 quite often, followed by a 20.

'the other little guard' Jennings is a FA and likely to leave too. Monta Ellis as your lead dawg = lottery. But you already knew that.

Dwight to GS Warriors is actually picking up some steam.

If this deal goes through, it's good that we'll FINALLY get the media and coverage with Dwight. However, it'll be for all the wrong reasons.

Considering Warriors bad history with big men since NateThumond, it would be really stupid of the W's to take Howard.
Miami proved you don't need a CENTER to win.
SA proved a big PF is nice, but Leonard got all the rebounds.
Indy had a center, a PF, and a big SF, but still lost.
    Same with Denver.
Memphis had a good center, good PF, and lost.
You need at least one good combi guard, one workhorse paint guy, and role players who can fill the various voids.
Forget Howard, let some other team sink to oblivion with him.

Warriors signed Andre Iguodala while shipping out Richard Jefferson, Andris Biedrins, and Brandon Rush to the Utah Jazz.

I don't like this signing, we're already solid at the SG/SF/PF spot. Of course Iguodala is projected to start, does that mean Harrison Barnes is going to the bench?

Or maybe, they really want to deal Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson to the Lakers to get Dwight Howard? (No! Don't do it!)

Worst idea ever, getting Andre and shipping out Rush. Rush is equal to Andre alone. Give him another year, and it will be proven.
Iguodala takes every other game off, like MontaEllis, and the W's have enough guys who already do that. He plays when he's interested, then cruises to a 8 pt., 4 assist, 3 steals night while turning over the ball twice, in 35 minutes. Yes, he's a superior athlete at the 2 or 3 position, but he doesn't try for longer than a couple of games.
    Stupid trade.

I wouldn't say adding Iguodala is bad. This guy is tough, plays with heart, and plays decent defense, and most of all it gives the Warriors more size which is sorely needed.

Just that, I don't look at him as an "upgrade" to the guys that are already on the team playing the same position(s). However, his addition does make the Warriors a deeper team, just not sure how the Warriors are going to manage its players because it's already loaded in the SG/SF/PF spots.

Just like LeBron was "Prince" James before winning a title, Dwight Howard is Clark Kent until he develops a better offensive repertoire. I mean, he's never going to be Kevin McHale or Tim Duncan down low, but at least pass the freaking ball instead of congesting your team's offense! Bill Walton, Pau Gasol, and, yes, Shaquille O'Neal were ALL just as dangerous WITH the ball as they were WITHOUT it.

Shaq was a phenomenal passer. He was also great at demanding the ball back as soon as the double/triple team left him.

Jarrett Jack will sign with Cleveland Cavaliers on a reported 4yrs/$25M contract.

Warriors fans, there goes our depth, our bailout man, and 2013-2014 season, nothing to see here.

I thought Iguadala was going to play 2-3 position, allowing some rest for Klay, Harrison, which should free up some minutes for those guys.
Jack was VERY good 6th man, but maybe the rotation should now allow more guys and fewer minutes. W's knew they were losing Carl and Jarred anyways.

I really like Iggy to GSW. Im guessing Barnes becomes their 6th man? Regardless, they have incredible scoring depth, which is key to their style of play.

The other key is they have to have Bogut healthy. They need to try and snag a cheap big as well for depth there.

The only reason the Heat can pull off having no big is because of Lebron. He is so dominant and can play 4 positions on the court. It's not normal, and there is no one else like him. San Antonios way of 2 bigs down low still works, and they just leaned on GSW and grinded them down.

Houston could be really good, but they screwed up by overpaying Lin. I dont seem them able to trade him. I think Howard will get better with Mchale there. They just have to figure out the PF position. It's really key to have the right guy next to Dwight down there or else the lane is easy to clog up for the opposition.

I am guessing the Hawks are going with a 2 PF front court? Not sure, but Milsap and Horford are on the roster now. Milsap in HOU would have been perfect.

Also, I saw Oladipo play today and he was rather impressive. Its summer league though, so I mainly just watch the guys play and look at their games and not take the stats too seriously. But Oladipo showed he can run the point during a game and create rather well. Not sure if he will be a full time PG, but he can develop into a Harden type wing.

The scary thing is, LeBron can actually play the center spot for short stretches.

Lakers won a championship with Magic at 6/9" at center, but he was a roving center, like Lebron.
GS did not lose to Spurs because the Spurs were bigger and stronger down low. They lost because Klay and Stepf couldn't hit the side of a barn door after the second game. Give credit to Green for shutting down an injured Curry, while give credit to Jackson for having Klay play defense so his shot went all awry.
Klay/Steph shot lower than 26% after the second game. And they took a lot of shots. Made Barnes look good, but his percentage is actually very bad, and he's an inaccurate shooter with very good driving skills to the hole.
Andre is also a bad shooter, similar to Barnes, he can drive to the basket whenever he feels like playing.
Having Klay play D is really bad strategy, but there must have been something else going on there. Klay is a spot up shooter. To run him around, get him winded, then expect thim to shoot accurately is a DUMB strategy.
You can say the same for Green of the Spurs. He played unreal D, but saved his best shooting games when he wasn't running all over the court covering a shooter.

KD is a true gym rat...he tweeted very kind words about 2R Magic pick Osry after the rookie's first scrimmage game! Hey big guy...if things don't work out in OKC, maybe a fresh start in Mousetown will be a better fit! Just dreaming we could finally get a superstar with a work ethic!

He's only able to do that because the league is so devoid of real good centers. I know hes awesome but lets not overlook that the center position is such a joke and thats why he can do this.

They lost down low and had to compensate by shooting outside against spurs defenders who were closing out the 3 ball. Its easy to close out the 3 when you can single inside the lane. I know this well as I am a Magic fan who watched us lose to any team who could single cover Dwight.

There is a reason the spurs suddenly began to play such great defense, and it all starts underneath.

Lakers fan here... I think we can still make a run for the playoffs. 7th-8th seed.

I'm thinking Wizards, Raptors, Cavs, and Blazers will surprise a lot of people.

Bulls will finish second in the east... Mark it.

Anyways... today I heard someone say Monta Ellis and Dwyane Wadde were around the same level. Wow...

the problem is 7th or 8th isn't good enuff. they don't have a realistic shot at winning an nba championship. they would be far better off having kobe sit out next season, losing as many games as possible and get a high lottery pick in a loaded draft class. plus there's all this talk that they wanna clear room for lebron.

Yes, it is better to tank than finish 7th or 8th and have a first round playoff loss.

One more year of Magic tanking and then I believe we will have a solid young core and cap space to be able to grab vets next summer.
